my baby has a schedule that my mom doesn't think is very good and i wanted to get someone's opinon about it. thanks in advance.. Wakes up between 7-9 (usually 7-830), eats 6-6.5 oz, plays 730-930 (usually 730-900), gets fussy and falls asleep about 900-1100, sleeps for about an hour and repeats (mostly) until she falls asleep for the night at about 830-1030(sometimes 11)... and repeats. so she has like 3-4 45 min to 1 hour cat naps during the day instead of 1 3 hour nap. she always has 5 feeding of at least 6 oz. thanks guys! (well girls :)

your baby has a really REALLY similar schedule to mine, I don't know how old your baby is, but mine is 12 weeks, and there isnt much I could do to change his schedule. I feed on demand, and I let him sleep when he wants, eventually I guess a different schedule will start but at his age he needs the sleep.

Sounds good to me! My baby only naps about 20 mins bewteen feedings, then goes to bed between 7 an8 but is up at 5:30! What does your mom not like about it BTW a 45 min to hour nap I don't consider a cat nap :)

lol thanks guys. my baby is 15 weeks old... 16 next wednesday... she just thinks that she sleeps too much. she doesnt think she should go over night and not eat so much and WIC said the same thing to me. but my baby is unhappy and so i didn't think it was a big deal. she eats the recommended about and number of feedings each day so. :/ idk. and true a 45-1 hr napo isn't a rea; "cat nap"...

my little one does the same thing. He'll be 4 months on August 1st and he wakes up around 4-6 am then goes back to sleep for maybe and hour or two in the morning...we're usually up for sure between 8-9 am everyday. then he fights sleep most of the day, he sleeps for maybe 30-45 min a few times then he's in bed at night by 9pm. Its a good thing really because if your little one wants to stay up during the day like mine does it'll be easier when they get older to get them to bed at a decent time and up early for whatever your day may consist of. I like our schedule :)

it sounds like a good schedule to me, too! my 11 week old sleeps about 5 hours during the night, a couple of hours in the early morning and takes one 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon. that's it! he gets a little fussy in the evenings but he fights sleep so bad and he just won't lay down till 9:30pm.

My baby went through some sleep issues and I read about 4 different sleep books. They all said the same thing: babies at this age should put put down to sleep within1-2 hours of wakefullness. Your baby is conforming to this rule without even knowing it! Children don't start taking one long nap until they're toddlers. I have a very easy baby and the only time she fusses is when she's tired. This is usually about 1 1/2 hours after she last woke up.

My DH wakes up 6am, Eats 6:30am- plays than is back to bed from 7am-about 8:30am--then that repeats most of the day. He does stay up more time as the day goes on...
