I am curious to do a little comparison "experiment" of sorts. When your mother gave birth to you, did she go into labor early, on time or late? And then when YOU went into labor with your child, was it early, on time, or late? Thanks!

My Mom was induced 2 weeks past her due date. I was comfy in there! I went into labor with my son the day after my due date and had him the day after that. So, he was 2 days late. I labored with him for 23 hours and then had an emergency c-section. So, my 2nd child was a repeat c-section planned at 38 weeks 6 days.

My mom went late with me. My oldest was induced at 11 days late (born on the 12th day late). My 2nd was late by 6 days, and my 3rd was late by 4 days. My 4th was early, but only because I was induced because of high blood pressure. I feel confident she would have been late, too. I hope to go late with this one.

Wow, lot's of late kiddos Christine lol! You poor thing! I really think I would have gone pretty far past my due date with my 2nd if I hadn't had a planned c-section. She was only 6lbs. 12 oz. at birth and that's a bit tiny for our family.

My mom can't remember. She had me when she was 15 (yikes, I know) I broke that cycle when I had my first at 36 :) She said that back then she was not awake while she gave birth. She has no memorey of the event. Strange, I can't imagine. She does remember that she had both my sister and I around the due date. I was 7 pounds and my sister was 9.5 pounds. My first, I went two days past my due date. Super easy birth. Got to hospital at 10am had baby by 11:00am. No drugs, no inducing, just ready to go :) Baby was 6 pounds Second, they were afraid I would have a home birth so they induced me right around my due date. Easy birth. Baby was 6 pounds 8 oz Third, I went a full two weeks past my due date. Never went into labor on my own. I was induced, played the waiting game and then an easy birth. Baby was 5 ponds 12oz. My sister has one child, very long and difficult birth. He ended up weighing about 7.5 pounds. Sometimes I wonder if there is any ryhme or reason to the way it works :)
