Hello It's my first time pregnant and barely 6 weeks. I recently got married a couple of months ago. Well Im making a pregnancy week by week scrapbook. It's too soon to know the gender so I was hoping if anyone could advice me on the color theme. Of course when I know the gender I'll be able to add boy or girl colors. Any advice will be helpful. Also I'm on a buget so I'm trying to make something very cute and affordable. Any advice about color, design or any information will be great. Thanks

try soft yellows and tans, them seem to be very easy colors to couple with for either sex. im having a girl and have also sarted a scrapbook for her. hobby lobby tends to have sales on all scrapbooking nesscessities, micheals also has alot to chose from however i find that they are more expensive. also if you do the smaller scrapbooks youll save money bc you wont have to buy soooo much for baby.

Congratulations!! Hope you have one amazing pregnancy! I geuss it really depends on your personality, if you love soft colors go for them if you love vibrant colors go for that. I personally like lime green, it is a very friendly color and always welcomed by both sexes. It creates a exciting atmosphere, all vibrant colors do. Soft colors can be nice but can become boring after a while. otherwise just go for the all natural colors until you have conformation about the sex of the baby. Enjoy your nxt couple of months alone with your husband, thereafter the greatest joy of both your lives will join your family!

In my opinion, for the first few months of your pregnancy, I would use a mix of colors. Like going back and fourth from pinks to blue to green to purple. Then once you get to the month where you find out the sex, you can stick with the color that goes best with that. I didn't make a scrap book for when I was pregnant (unfortuneately I didn't even think of it, nor did I have any picture of myself pregnant except from my shower), but the scrapbook I did make afterwards was filled with a mixture of all types of colors. Instead of using color as a theme, I did each page a different theme. What I would recomend for you to do would be maybe do 1-2 pages per month and do different type of baby themes for each month. For example, on one page you can do hand prints and foot print stickers (pink and blue if that month you don't know the sex), on another do moon, stars, sheep, and crib for baby bedtime theme, ect..I absoultely love Michale's, however they are a little bit more expensive, but there are coupons for 40 percent off in the paper. Making scrapbooks is one of my favorite hobbies and I really wish I thought of the idea to do one for my pregnancy! (There's always next time) I think this isa great idea, especially for your little one for when they are older and you can look back on it and show them the time when they were in your belly. Have fun and best of luck!

My mom is making me one. It's going month by month. My scrapbook is polka dot with multiple colors. Each month she has different stuff. For example the month of May we went to North Carolina on vacation so she has beachy stuff. The first month I believe was cute paper that had bottles and pacifiers in different green colors. I don't get to see it that often because now that I am further along the more secretive she is becoming about it :)

You can google tons of scrapbooking ideas too. Also if you go to a creative memories site, then they have scrapbooking ideas as well and you don't always have to use their stuff! Improvise. I love scrapbooking so much I started selling the stuff! lol Hope you can share the book later!

Oh yes also what you can do is search the internet for some nice quotes on motherhood and place them throughout the scrapbook as well.

congrads! scrapbook is a great idea! ( I wish I had done that!) but, "week by week" it's a little hard. you may not look different every week or have especial feelings! lol.. I would say go monthly and occanially ( when there is a B-day of you or your hobby, or mother's day, New Year...) . make this few months ,before you know her/his gender, colorful. go with your feelings... use papers and stickers and your hand writing. write down your hopes, dreams and feelings. good luck. wish you a great pregnancy and safe delivery!
