I woke up the other night in pain due to the baby kicking. Still being half asleep I forgot that I was pregnant for a brief second and realized that was why my stomach was hurting. So when I came to it all hit me, that I was having a baby and I am going to have to push her out and go thu all of the pain and hours of pushing. I was told days prior that I would be in labor for a long time because this is my first child. I'm so excited that I am gonna be a mom but the part I am not looking forward to is the pain and labor. Did anyone else feel this was or is it just me??

What you are feeling is perfectly normal. I was more then freaked out with my first! I would have nightmares of giving birth. The closer to my due date, the more I would freak. It didn't help that my sisters would tell me all the time that it would hurt like a mother and take the epidural as soon as you can!!! Well, im not going to lie......it did hurt but I was in labor for only 6 hrs and pushed for 30minutes. My sisters didn't know anything!!! Thought that was awesome for my first baby:) I did end up getting an epidural after 3 hrs into labor but it was only because my sisters freaked me out! With my second child, I knew what to expect and didnt listen to anyone. I was in labor for 3 hrs and in 3 pushes my son was out, with no epidural may I add:) So don't stress over delivery!!! You'll be just fine! Enjoy the rest of your pregnacy cause it goes way too fast!

I'm glad it helped:) didn't want to freak you out. Don't worry about the stitches, they numb you for that rather you have a drug free delivery or not. Its not like regular stiches when u get cut. I needed stitches for my first one cause I tore on the inside, didnt know that was possible! With my second, I tore a little on the outside cause he just kind of popped out and had his hand on his head, yes his hand came out with his head! Didn't think that was possible either;)lol. As for the pain, just remember its for a brief moment during your pregnacy! The sec baby comes out, the pain is gone and your left with a beautiful baby:) I didn't do child birth classes with either one of my pregnancies, so I'm not sure if it's beneficial or not? But maybe you should try one, may help you be less nervous for the big day! Good luck and try to enjoy the rest of your pregnacy!
