I am 38 years-old and have been struggling with irregular cycles and painful/heavy periods since I was 16. I was put on various BCP's to regulate and treat my ongoing symptoms. When I was 22 I was diagnosed with endometriosis and have had two surgeries for it. My extensive history of menstrual problems in turn caused infertility issues. After over a year of TTC and still having irregular sometimes non-existent cycles, my husband and I went through testing and initiating of hormonal treatments including Clomid. We were just weeks away from starting more aggressive treatment when we successfully conceived our son who was born in October 2008. We were TTC baby #2 since February 2010 with very similar "bumps in the road", and proved to be much more challenging. After several attempts with medicated cycles, IUI's and then IVF we were finally successful! We are now expecting our next little miracle!
