Pregnant and in college.

So I'll be 21 in  just a week and I'm currently 9 weeks pregnant. If I weren't pregnant, I would be graduating June 2013 but being pregnant, I'm trying to push my completion date for December. It sounds manageable right now, but I'm not sure what will happen when the time come since I'm due December 15th.

I found out I was pregnant almost 2 weeks ago, and wow it has been a roller coaster of emotions already. I tried balancing the morning sickness, the doctor visits, the first ultra sound, classes, and many other things but it's definitely taken a toll on my energy.

I haven't told my parents yet, and I'm actually going to hold off on that until the 1st weekend in June. I'm really scared about how they're going to take it and I'm actually really worried about my dad's health. I have felt really lonely lately and every minute that passes by, the thought of telling my mom already increases. I don't want to be alone and I want to share my firsts with her but I can't. Maybe she won't react the way I think she will. I'm just not sure about anything right now, I  guess.

Hi Debora.

I found out on my 24th birthday that I was pregnant. On top of it I was working and a college student. The morning sickness was awful and last up until my 8th month. Its rough but my advice just try to stick with it, you're going to feel amazing when you get graduate knowing what you overcame. I tried Phenergan and Zofran for the nausea. Phenergan made me more tired but the Zofran was amazing, maybe talk to your doctor about it. Try to stay healthy and watch your iron. During pregnancy it drops quite a bit, I learned that the hard way and try to share that with new moms so they don't go through what I did. And that will also help with your energy level.

Another note.. Maybe you should tell your mom sooner rather than later. She may be upset by it but the longer you wait the angrier she might get. Just think how you would feel if someone had life changing news and waited to tell you.. I know Id be fuming for awhile. Especially if she does want to be supportive. You're gonna need it. My mom wasn't there for me and that was hard... so Id recommend reaching out to her!
