Hey Ladies! I'm new to this group! DH and I just started ttc. We have a 19 month old which we conceived easily. I had some issues since coming off the pill in May. I didn't get my period for four months so the dr gave me the provera challenge and all I had was some spotting. The second round of provera didn't produce anything so they referred us to a fertility specialist since we wanted to start ttc. I started taking Chaste Tree Berry 2 weeks ago and 5 days after my BBT stayed consistent and then jumped over half a degree this Monday which was the day before our appt with the specialist. She said it's possible I may have ovulated..although I didn't have much cf and I usually do when I'm ready to ovulate so I'm not sure. Either way we are just waiting until Nov 19th for me to either get my period, a positive pt or find out what the heck is wrong with my hormones via blood work. Can someone tell me what BFP stands for and AF? Also whats BD? I'm assuming it's sex but just wondering what it stands for. There are so many abbrev. on the boards it's hard to tell what people are talking about. lol Also has anyone taken chaste tree berry when ttc?? Just curious if I'm wasting my time on it and if I am pregnant now and don't know yet if I should go off it. Thanks! Gill

Amber: OOh, there's nothing like fresh bread :) Usually it's too late after O to BD, so before is best. After a +OPK those next 24-48 hours are crucial! Gill: Hi! Welcome, that's a nice family picture you have :) I am all too familiar with Provera, it's the only thing I can take to induce a new cycle. It's strange that it didn't bring on much of a period for you though. Glad you're getting the ball rolling with the specialist. Hmm, you MAY have O'd, especially with the temp rise :) FX'd you caught that eggie and AF will stay away! BFP is big fat positive (pregnancy test), AF is aunt flow or your period and BD is baby dancing :) I haven't heard of chaste tree berry, is that an herbal supplement?

Amber- Mmmm, bread sounds so good! Can't wait for your result this month! Alix- Hope your nook stops glitching. I have an old one and ti does it too sometimes. Christine- That's exciting news on the house, too! Nicole- My appt is at 1pm PST. I should be back sometime around 2ish. Gill- Welcome to the group! I hope it doesn't take you long to ttc this go around. I know how frustrating coming off BCP's can be. I've been there myself. I had unusually long cycles for the first year off BCP's. They just started evening out when I started using clomid. We are a month away from 3 years trying with one MC (miscarriage) which was a year ago. I haven't heard of chaste tree berry....what's it suppose to accomplish? I'll add you to the board for Nov. 19th. :) Oh, there is also a thread with a lot of abbreviations, too. I saw Nicole posted what those two were. Hope that helps! AFM- Gonna lounge a little before our US today. KMFC we can trigger and do IUI soon!

Tara: Oh I hope you're ready to trigger! (you were on CD16 in the last cycle) Dr. B will probably want to give you the full dose of HCG then if you'll be doing IUI (maybe?) That would be Sat! FX'd!!!

Hi Ladies! I'm new to this group, Gill (gillfitness) and I are cousins :) DH and I are in our second cycle of TTC our first child. I have a 28-30 day cycle and I haven't been on BCPs in 4 years. Last month I used clear blue digital OPKs. I got a smiley face on day 14 and BDd, got AF 2 weeks later. I think we should have also tried the day after because the LH surge is usually 24-36 hours prior to ovulation? I'm expecting to ovulate around 11/12 and will be expecting AF 11/26. Hoping for a BFP then, keeping my fingers crossed for my cousin and everyone else on here! Cara

Gil: welcome. It's always nice to have a new member. Theses ladies on here are awesome and very supportive. I truly believe I wouldn't have gotten my bfp so soon if it wasn't for them. I'm sure it would have taken longer like my first pregnancy. But they gave me a lot of insight on what I needed to look for. I hope they help, if not just a hearing ear for you. My name is Haley, im 30 years old. I've been married for 10 years. We have an almost 3 year old son and just found out we are pg with our second. I bumped the abbreviation list. So if you go to the getting pregnant boards it should be at the top or close to it. Haley

Cara: Hi and welcome :) That's great you and Gill are TTC together, maybe you'll be belly buddies ;) You are right, after the surge O happens 24-36 hours so timing BD is so important. The next day is usually the best time! Haley: The closer Sat comes the more antsy I'm getting ;) The first Beta HCG is always timed perfectly 12 days from the retrieval. Tara: I hope so! If Dr. B wants to do the IUI this cycle, he will want to schedule it 35 hours after your HCG. GL!
