Wow! So happy to hear about all the BFP's!!!!! Congrats to all of you! =)

I haven't been on here in a week but there's not much to report. I did not get AF on the 19th and I took a pt and negative. So I went for blood work and an ultrasound. All came back normal..no cysts and blood work was normal just low levels of estrogen. My ultrsound showed that the lining of my uterus is so thin it looks like I just finished AF...which it's actually been 6 months since I had a period. The doctor told me at my first appt a few weeks ago that she wants me to gain some weight (I'm 104 and 5'2") and cut down on my exercise. I have cut back to 4 or 5 days/week exercise and no long distance runs but the actually gaining weight concept is tough for me...I feel my weight is healthy, normal and I eat very well- I definitley do not deprive myself! I have an appt on Dec. 4th for a followup on my blood work and u/s. Hopefully she will start me on Clomid..which she mentioned at the last appt but I was against because of side effects I heard some women experience but I've since changed my mind!! I can't wait to get my own BFP!!!

How does Clomid work and have any of you experienced unpleasant side effects?? Has anyone had trouble TTC due to low estrogen levels or amenorrhea??

Gill: When I went in for my annual appointment in July I was training for a 1/2 marathon and had intentions of training for a full (although life got EXTREMELY busy and my grandma's health was not good so I had to fore-go that this year!) my OB said that with training as much as I was going to need to do that it would possible make it impossible to get pregnant because extensive training can stop ovulation!  I have heard of those who train hard and don't weigh a lot have very few periods just because of how incredibly fit/active they are!  I know that its a tough thing to swallow--however it would be hard to stop doing what you love!  Can you add in some additional calories to up your intake so that you can gain some weight while still enjoying being fit?  And adding calories in a healthy way (say adding extra calories to a protien shake or something?  Or doing it like weight lifter's do?)  Good Luck though! :)

Amber and Teri: CONGRATULATIONS!!!  I am so excited to enjoy this journey with everyone!! :)

Tara: How are things going for you?  Only 1 week until testing day right?!?!?  How are you feeling?

Autumn: When do you go in for your 3 hour check?  Try not to stress!!!  You can do it!! :)

Nicole: How are you doing?  Any word from the Dr. on your ultrasound?

Isra's Mom: How incredibly scary for you!  I can't imagine the anxiety and stress and fear you must have!  I am sorry they just did a cease fire :(  Hopefully they can work something out!

Simone: I hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving! :)

To everyone else!  I hope you all had a fabulous thanksgiving and are enjoying a quiet weekend! :)

AFM: Thanksgiving was not a good day for me.  My morning, err all day, sickness came to a head :(  Throwing up is not my specialty :(  And it was in fact miserable.   Thankfully everyone at Justin's grandparents understood I wasn't feeling better and so I slept it off most of the day!  Yesterday I survived working a split shift at my big box electronic store via peppermints, snacking, and I even took some B-6 which I am not sure if it helped for not! LOL!  I didn't feel quite as miserable as I had--but it definitely wasn't umm...enjoyable.  I have some unisom (which my OB with Owen had recommended if I was having difficulties with nausea) if it gets really bad.  Only 2 more days until I can call the dr.!   The good news is that it is re-assuring that things are a-ok in there--however they are surely less than enjoyable! LOL!

Gill- I've dealt with irregular cycles and it's completely frustrating! Your weight can definately   effect ovulation. Your BMI borderlines on underweight. Cutting back seems like it would be a good start. I hope that the clomid works out for you okay. I've taken clomid a lot and it does have side effects. Some months SE's are worse than other months and can be different for different people. The biggest one that I've noticed is hot flashes which are just uncomfortable and annoying. Hopefully you will be able to build up that lining sufficently as well. You've done it before you can do it again, right :)

Christine- Sorry the MS hasn't let up yet, darn. If you call the doctor they may be able to give you a prescription for reglan. I am not a fan of throwing up either. Yuck. I'm doing alright just hanging in there hoping I make it this month.

AFM- Trying to work on getting my house ready for Thanksgiving with my family at my house tomorrow then hanging out with friends later today. Should be a busy day. I need to make a pie and clean the house. Oh, and brine the turkey. Had some odd dreams last night. I've been feeling a little crampy, too. It's hard to say what's going on in there. I think I've ran out of optimistic steam. It's most likely the hCG shots making me feel kinda crummy. Just feeling pretty blah the last few days.

Hey ladies! Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was good.

I spent the day with the worst hunger cramps all while eating little things all day, and I was so nauseous I almost threw up twice but thankfully it was when I wasn't in the same room as everyone else. The scent on my fiance's shirt calmed my nausea down a lot. I'll be going in sometime this week for a blood test if AF hasn't come along. I've been nauseous a lot more, frequent bathroom breaks, cramps,  and this sharp stinging feeling was bugging my lower abdomen a bit today. I told my fiance that if I'm not pregnant I'm going to be pissed for having all these symptoms. My stomach is tougher, and it feels heavy to me. Also my breasts have become a bit swollen, I put on my favorite sports bra today due to sensitive nipples and OMG it is noticably tighter!

Time for me to take my little one back to grandma's, she's had a rough week. Poor baby :( I'll try to catch up on posts later. Just wanted to pop in with my little bit. And congrats to all those with the BFP's, I'm so envious of all of you right now :)

Autumn - You will probably be just fine.  They'll want you to retake the glucose test.  Don't stress about it too much until you retake the test, okay?  I know, blood draws are awful. What was worst for me was the test itself.  Not eating or drinking before the test, and none for an hour, except one cup of lemonade?  I wanted to say, "Helloooo, I'm pregnant, I didn't eat since last night and my stomach is really hurting me.  Plus, I'm starting to get kind of dizzy and weak.  What were you thinking???"  I passed it, though, thank G-d.  Not sure how I would've managed a three-hour test.  Giving in to your cravings for sugar sometimes is okay, that baby is eating a LOT of your calories!

Alix - It would be, but I don't know where the poll feature went. :(

Christine - Thanks. :) Hope you feel better!  Ugh, the puking is the worst.  Or maybe the wanting to puke is the worst.  All for a good cause, right?  Why do you have to wait to call the doctor?  Hey, I like your new ticker. :)

Amber and Teri - Congrats!  That is so exciting!  Wow, these BFP's keep rolling in.  Let's hope it continues. :)

Suzanne - Sometimes constipation can cause peeing every little bit, because your intestines push on your bladder.  Just for your information, and that of anyone else's who decides to ask you about it.  Also, you don't have to feel constipated in order to be backed up - sometimes what comes out is softer, but the stuff still stuck inside you is hard as a rock.  Just FYI.

Amy - Hope your Thanksgiving wasn't too bad.  Yeah, even though it makes the most sense for it to be at your place, that doesn't make it any easier.

Gill - Sorry to hear that.  Glad you're getting it checked out.  Sometimes too much exercise can cause AF not to show for a long time, so I assume that's why your doctor asked you to cut down.  Hope you don't need the Clomid!

AFM - So Thursday morning I woke up late and was thinking whether to temp - and I noticed that my thermometer said 36.7 while it was still in the case!  I shook it, no use, so I didn't temp.  DH said he'd try to fix it in the morning...  Friday morning I gave it to him and after about two minutes I hear, "This thing is a piece of junk!"  He had put it into warm (or kinda hot) water, and it just plain broke!  So, no temping for me right now.  I'm kind of upset, but I'm also wondering how many of the days I did temp, the thermometer was just stuck.

In other news, I have been feeling really nauseous, and attributing it to the metformin.  DH is going to pick up some ginger today; the doctor gave me a prescription for an anti-nausea drug if I was nauseous for the first couple weeks, but I'd rather skip any medications if I can, so we will try the ginger first.  However, one of the side dips that I normally love, I couldn't eat most of last week.  Friday I convinced myself to try it, and found that it was fine.  Saturday night, I couldn't eat it again.  We had tomato soup (not the best this time, but it was still pretty good) on Friday night.  Last night, when DH warmed it up, I got nauseated at the smell!  Thinking about it is making me nauseous.

Is it worth it to buy a test, or is this normal for metformin?  I'd rather not waste money on a test if I don't have to, especially since I'll probably want one in another few weeks if all goes well.  We did the calculations, and figured that since 26 days is a short cycle for me, and AF appeared after 25 days (and at night, instead of during the day!), and lasted about three and a half days, excluding spotting/old blood, it could've been IB; that would've put O at CD14 and AF at CD32, which is pretty average for me.  But again, maybe it's just the metformin, especially since I haven't had any other symptoms.

Isramom: I thought it was constipation for my frequent pee breaks too until I realized (after taking bathroom time notes all weekend) I have the same time frame in between breaks almost and going number 2 is pretty easy for me still. I've only had issues with constipation once the last week/end.

I'm due to start AF in the next three days. Fingers crossed on it not coming at all! If AF doesn't show by next Monday (not tomorrow lol) then I'll be testing next Wedensday at Solantic for a blood test which is thankfully only $35 without having health insurance right now.

Isramom- One of my friends took metformin to help her get PG and I'm pretty sure it made her nauseated, too.

Suzanne- Testing is getting close! Good luck!
