Autumn - You will probably be just fine. They'll want you to retake the glucose test. Don't stress about it too much until you retake the test, okay? I know, blood draws are awful. What was worst for me was the test itself. Not eating or drinking before the test, and none for an hour, except one cup of lemonade? I wanted to say, "Helloooo, I'm pregnant, I didn't eat since last night and my stomach is really hurting me. Plus, I'm starting to get kind of dizzy and weak. What were you thinking???" I passed it, though, thank G-d. Not sure how I would've managed a three-hour test. Giving in to your cravings for sugar sometimes is okay, that baby is eating a LOT of your calories!
Alix - It would be, but I don't know where the poll feature went. :(
Christine - Thanks. :) Hope you feel better! Ugh, the puking is the worst. Or maybe the wanting to puke is the worst. All for a good cause, right? Why do you have to wait to call the doctor? Hey, I like your new ticker. :)
Amber and Teri - Congrats! That is so exciting! Wow, these BFP's keep rolling in. Let's hope it continues. :)
Suzanne - Sometimes constipation can cause peeing every little bit, because your intestines push on your bladder. Just for your information, and that of anyone else's who decides to ask you about it. Also, you don't have to feel constipated in order to be backed up - sometimes what comes out is softer, but the stuff still stuck inside you is hard as a rock. Just FYI.
Amy - Hope your Thanksgiving wasn't too bad. Yeah, even though it makes the most sense for it to be at your place, that doesn't make it any easier.
Gill - Sorry to hear that. Glad you're getting it checked out. Sometimes too much exercise can cause AF not to show for a long time, so I assume that's why your doctor asked you to cut down. Hope you don't need the Clomid!
AFM - So Thursday morning I woke up late and was thinking whether to temp - and I noticed that my thermometer said 36.7 while it was still in the case! I shook it, no use, so I didn't temp. DH said he'd try to fix it in the morning... Friday morning I gave it to him and after about two minutes I hear, "This thing is a piece of junk!" He had put it into warm (or kinda hot) water, and it just plain broke! So, no temping for me right now. I'm kind of upset, but I'm also wondering how many of the days I did temp, the thermometer was just stuck.
In other news, I have been feeling really nauseous, and attributing it to the metformin. DH is going to pick up some ginger today; the doctor gave me a prescription for an anti-nausea drug if I was nauseous for the first couple weeks, but I'd rather skip any medications if I can, so we will try the ginger first. However, one of the side dips that I normally love, I couldn't eat most of last week. Friday I convinced myself to try it, and found that it was fine. Saturday night, I couldn't eat it again. We had tomato soup (not the best this time, but it was still pretty good) on Friday night. Last night, when DH warmed it up, I got nauseated at the smell! Thinking about it is making me nauseous.
Is it worth it to buy a test, or is this normal for metformin? I'd rather not waste money on a test if I don't have to, especially since I'll probably want one in another few weeks if all goes well. We did the calculations, and figured that since 26 days is a short cycle for me, and AF appeared after 25 days (and at night, instead of during the day!), and lasted about three and a half days, excluding spotting/old blood, it could've been IB; that would've put O at CD14 and AF at CD32, which is pretty average for me. But again, maybe it's just the metformin, especially since I haven't had any other symptoms.
