Happy New Year everyone! Wow, a lot of activity on here today!

Isra- Thanks for starting the new board this month and year ;) Uggh, I hope your cold is getting better. It's not fun at all. I'm feeling a little better with my throat, but the congestion has started in.

Simone- I'm glad that you are feeling more positive about this month. You aren't over until AF arrives. Your chart is looking good still. Mmm, your dinner sounds really yummy!

Brie- Still so sorry about Turk. You lost a member of your family and that is extrememly difficult. The bleeding doesn't sound all that normal to me. I think you should be persistent with your doctor about it cause you never actually stopped since you had Layla. The should at least make sure you don't have a retained peice of placenta. I suppose some of it could be from the Mirena. Hmmm.

Amber- Glad you are feeling a bit better and you got your US! Glad your cold is improving!

Gina- Yay! Congrats it's a boy!!! Now Olivia and Lily will have a little brother! So neat!

Haley- It's nice to hear from you! That must be really relieving to have that insurance stuff figured out. ANd congrats to your DH that got a raise. Wooo hooo! 13 weeks seems to have flown by!

Nicole- When is you next doc appt! 11 weeks and counting :)

AFM- Still fighting off this cold. Praying this Year brings wonderful things to all of us!!! When I got up this morning...wow, my breasts were so sore. Yesterday they were itchy. Hope it's for a good reason and not just the pre AF symptoms.

Thank you ladies!

Simone: your chart looks great! Of course, I dont know what to expect with those things but hey..I know the up and up is good! lol!

Amber: It IS extremely annoying! I wish I knew the reasons for it, if it is exactly mirena or not! But I dont think so, even though I feel like I feel it sometimes certain ways I sit. I also find it is possibly a mental thing.

Tara: I was beginning to wonder the same thing! They were pretty sure they got it, but I never really stopped bleeding ( i was told it was supposed to go from red, to brown, to yellow/pink to clear and I have had NONE of that. I go from red to brown and back constantly) . What do they do if a piece of placenta is still in there? :/ I was doing it BEFORE mirena so thats why I dont think its mirena. who knows. Im calling tomorrow. My MIL is due up too.

Shes staying until  the 7th..which would have been Kaseys birthday. :(  I start school on the 8th again!

Brie they will probably do a dnc to scrap it out after first doing an u/s to find out where the bleeding is coming from. Well that is my best guess.

Simone- Yep, your chart is looking good!

Brie- Yes, that is the normal sequence of events. Like Simone said...I'm guessing that they would do an US to see if they can see anything in there still. That's what happened to me after my D&C when I didn't stop bleeding because a piece got missed. It seems like you shouldn't be bleeding this long. Maybe it would be good for them to check your blood count, too.

Nicole - Hope you enjoy your holiday!  I was about to post on the December board, and then realized we start a January board - no one else is on (it was 5am EST, 12pm here), so why not

Brie - Yes, you have.  Maybe even for a week or more.  It's just that they've been short reprieves, instead of the complete cessation that you imagined you'd have (and should have).  It's tough, though, when it keeps being on-and-off, and it's really frustrating.  But, you need to be able to give your doctor a complete picture.  Try to backtrack and date it all.  I never had the whole color range, either.  It was red, brown/black, and maybe, maybe, maybe a lighter red/pinkish.  Nothing else.  Yes, it could be Mirena, because before that, it was regular PP bleeding.  You will feel the loss of Kasey for a long time to come, but it will gradually get less painful.  ((HUGS))

Gina - Congrats!  That is really exciting!  Did you save the ultrasound for New Year's?  I forgot...

Simone - Sure, just give me your address!  (Actually, there are two problems: 1) location, 2) we keep kosher.  If you can solve them, let me know. ;))  I am glad to see that you are back to yourself today, and back to your high temps and symptoms.  Hopefully you will get your BFP, and it will turn out to be a double-X'er this time.  ;)  I have a feeling you are pg, just not sure of the gender yet.  You're like my MIL, just given another chance: she had five boys, but had to have a hysterectomy after the last one because of the risks to her health - #4 (DH) was induced at 34 weeks, because "we have to get this baby out before it kills you, and dont you try to have another", and #5 she did better but had to be on strict bed rest and dietary guidelines; he was induced at 36 weeks because of complications.  She's hoping for a girl from us.  Hm, interesting dream...hope it's a good sign!  Why is Amber pregnant with a girl?  Yes, your chart does look better like that, but leave it in...

Amber - That is too funny!  Yep, you sure did give yourself away!  Enjoy your reprieve.  That is so exciting to hear the heartbeat!  Hope you and your little nugget stay healthy!

Tara - Glad your throat is better, do you think the congestion is related to it, or separate?  I'm starting to feel a bit better, DH came home early yesterday and took care of stuff so that I could just sit (didn't want to sleep for fear of insomnia at night).  Hope your bb's being sore is a good sign!  Your chart is looking great!

Haley, I am so glad that you got health care worked out!  That is great!  It sounds like you still have a few loose ends that need tying, but it is definitely good to know that everything will be taken care of - and not by credit cards for the next ten years. Yay, it's good your DH will be getting a raise.  ;)  I will put your EDD up later today, hopefully.  It's good to see you on again. :)

AFM - AF came this morning.  I guess I really did O on CD8 or 9.  If this happens again next month, I will go to the doctor and print out two copies of these charts: one without the override and one with.  I will also pencil in all the other options FF debated about. ;)  I should've gotten a flu shot, but didn't get around to it, and wasn't worried because DS and I are usually at home, and I wasn't pregnant.  Grr.  Now I've gotta deal with the consequences...if this is flu, that is.  DH wants me to go to the doctor, but I just don't have the energy to go anywhere.

Isra the old wives tale says if the heart rate is above 140 beats per minute it's a girl under a boy. Not sure how true that is!
