Good morning ladies :)

I finally got the right med into me last night, Zofran, what I was supposed to get in the first place after I left the ER. I didn't sleep too well though for some reason even if I was pretty "comfortable" on that and Tylenol P.M. Maybe it was because I took them both? I just had another dose of Zofran, we'll see how it gets me through the day...

Amber: Do you take the Z every 4 hours? Mine is prescribed for twice a day. Yeah, it DID help a lot in the IV :) I'm going to try chicken tonight, probably not nuggets but strips. I'd like to just try one of the Special K shakes without having to buy a whole package, do you think I would be able to find them sold separately? How's your cold?

Amanda: I hope so ;) It's weird, the beginning wasn't as bad as it is now. I would LOVE to be able to eat the same things as DH ;) He feels so bad having "normal meals" in front of me.

Gina: Oh no, that's right, I guess it still passes into the 2nd trimester for some of us :P One of the docs I work with, his wife is due in May and is still sick, never really stopped for her.

Tara: Yah, not really. Me too ;) Oh gosh, the new year deductible :( I ran into the same problem when I went to the ER, so afraid to see that bill now. I hope the massage wasn't too expensive, but so glad it was worth it ;) I'm happy to hear that your counseling appt went well :) This is a very frustruating time and really helps to have unbiased ear to listen to all your feelings and concerns. Does your hubby go with you or is it strictly just for you?

Ok, I'm working on some toast with jam and tea, so far so good...

Love and ((HUGS)) to you all ♥

Nicole sorry you had to go to the ER and get an IV. I hope the Zofran works for you!

Sorry everyone is getting sick!

AFM I have come to the realization that ttc at this point is not going to help. I need to be there to keep Ty from going over the edge. Maybe in Fall things will be different. So I have started to walk again and try and lose weight in the meantime. I have joined a Biggest Loser team and I hope we lose a lot. Even if we are not the Biggest Losers. It would be awesome if i can look at my weight loss in the next 6 weeks when the challenge ends and be surprised at my results.

Oh about Ty, on Friday the Social Worker from CPS is coming over and we are going to try and set up a plan so we don't have to spend all night in the ER again for nothing.

Well, I better get going and go for my walk. It's been about 27 degrees here and it doesn't feel that bad when your bundled up and walking.

Simone: Oh thank you darlin' ♥ I am so glad that you will be setting up a plan of action for Ty, I really hope things work out. And, you have a great goal for yourself joining a team for your weight loss :) Concentrating on taking care of YOU and your family is the most important and biggest priority for you now. Sending you GL wishes and prayers ♥ That's right, bundle up and enjoy your walk ;)

Nicole mine is the 4mg disinegrating tablet and it is prescribed to me for every 4-6 hours as needed. On my good days I just take it when I start to feel nauseous on my bad days I take it every four hours. The nurse in the ER told me to take it whenever because they give it to cancer patients in large doses like 100mg a day so its a medicine you can't OD on. The shakes are actually pretty good cold, I prefer the milk chocolate Personally. My mom drank them when she had her tonsils out last year so she didn't lose too much weight and strength. They have to be very chilled for me to drink them, but I think everything tastes better ice cold! I do believe you can buy them individually, try target or Walmart.

Thanks Amber ♥ That's what I have too. I may need to take mine more than the twice daily as you do on your bad days. My morning one is wearing off and my tummy isn't too happy with breakfast. It's good to know you can't take too much of this med :) I would prefer those shakes ice cold too. I will check to see if I can get one to try.

Nicole- Yea it was good to finally eat the same stuff my DH was. Hopefully that med works for you.

Tara- Me and DH keep saying we want to get a massage just haven't done it yet.

Simone- Good luck on losing weight. I'm about to start doind something too cause I really need to lose some. Hopefully y'all can set up a good plan for Ty.

AFM- I went and had my ultrasound last week to make sure my mirena was in the right place and when I went to pay she said I didn't owe anything because I had a credit. That got me wondering so I called to see how much my credit was and it was $950!!! How in the world do they overcharge you $950. I guess the good thing is I get it back now plus income tax coming up and my DH is starting a turnaround next week which means 7/12s for 35 days straight. The bad thing is we already have a plan for all the money that we're getting lol. Our inground pool isn't working anymore so we're going to get rid of it and then we're going to it our whole fence redone. After that whatever is left is being added to our savings account.

Amanda: I tried eating the same as DH last night, but it didn't work out very well. As I was telling Amber, the dose is wearing off a little too quickly and I'm concerned I'll need to take it more often. Wow, that IS quite a credit! Ugh, there's always something that needs to be done to "improve" our homes :P We just got our new heating system put in a couple of weeks ago. Boy, that's a lot of work for your hubby! Hopefully having the credit on top of the income tax and his increased hours will allow some extra in your savings after taking care of the pool removal and getting the fence redone ;)

Nicole- I tried not taking my med as much as possible but for you right now you need to keep some stuff down. Like I said before now that you are at 12 weeks soon it will start getting better. We should be able to put a little back but since DH wants to pay someone else to do the fence it's going to cost more.

Hello ladies!!

Tara: How are things going?  Has AF left?

Simone: I have to agree--one thing at a time!  I am glad that the social worker is coming over to offer some assistance!  I did send you a message with my mom's email address!  She knows WAY more about the process than I do!  I am only a few years older than my brother--so I wasn't involved all the behind-the-scenes work!

Isramom: I should send you one from the US! LOL!  I am glad that O seems to be coming at a "normal" time this month!

Amber: I am glad the Zofran is still working!  Can you swallow pills?  And yes, you are right--they give the pills to cancer patients in VERY high doses!  My cousin at 1 point was taking 5 a day!

Nicole: I am sorry you are havign to deal with so much morning sickness still :(  The last week was ROUGH for me :(  And I ran out of my Zofran on Sunday and my refill wasn't called in until today!  Thankfully it hasn't been to terribly bad--but I will be glad to have it back!  And yes--I would definitely check with your OB, but you can take Zofran much more than 2x a day--I think that's just where they start people off at and go up from there!  I know of someone who was on a Zofran pump during the first bit of her pregnancy!!!

AFM: I am STILL sick (with this cold!)! :(  I called in sick to work on Sunday.  I was miserable and VERY dizzy.  Driving just wasn't an option!  Thankfully that has subsided!  I have made it to 12 weeks--although I am VERY nervous for my appointment next Monday.  I have been having some cramping off and on the last few days, which makes me nervous!  Nothing consistent but still a little nerve racking.  I ran out of Zofran Sunday night (took my last dose Sunday PM) and I made it throug the last 2 days!  I was dry-heaving/gagging a lot though!  I got my refills called in finally!  So YAH for that!! :)

Hi ladies :)

Here's an update from today's appt. They were worried for me a lot more than the baby.I got to the listen to the heartbeat today, and it was really good :) They're not too concerned with the swelling in my ankles which I have a little today because my BP was nice and low which is my norm. My weight was down (no surprise there) and they didn't want to draw any blood because they were afraid I was a little dehydrated again. I had some low levels (Potassium, Magnesium, Iron) in my blood work from Thurs. They want to put me on Iron supplements but not until I can get my system back to "normal". I need to take Metamucil everyday probably for the rest of the pregnancy. For now, they want me to try protein shakes/bars {thanks for that suggestion Amber ♥} as I can tolerate them, to get the calories back in. I also can take the Zofran up to 3 times a day because it is very important that the nausea be controlled. I have a bunch of pictures from the ultrasound, baby is doing great :) At least that makes me feel better knowing that. I have my next appt on Feb 4th and some screening tests in between when I'm feeling better to do labs.

Just hangin' in here ;)

Love and ((HUGS)) to you all ♥
