Nicole - Ugh, stomach flu is always awful, but especially if you're pregnant.  When you get off the BRAT diet, you can try the shakes. ;)  When is this bug supposed to go away?  Hope you're feeling somewhat better now...  Interesting that it's gotten worse.  Kind of makes sense, though.  I know what you mean about your DH feeling bad...  You're not really second trimester till 14 weeks, though - LMP adds two weeks that you weren't pregnant.  Hopefully you will have the next two trimesters easy, though.  I hope your ER bill won't be too bad!  What is metamucil?  Yes, the important thing is to get some nutrition in you that will stay down.  Glad to hear that your baby is doing well!

Amber - Glad you are managing to keep something down!

Amanda - Mono during pregnancy seems like a double whammy to me.  Not fun.  Wow, how do they overcharge $950??  I guess it's good - that's already paid for, so you got your visit "free" - it isn't impacting your bank account at the moment.  Wow, sounds like you have a lot of home improvements that you want to do.  I hope you manage to save some money after they're finished!

Gina - Glad you are feeling better now!

Tara - That's annoying!  Glad the massage was worth it, though.  Are you going to get the money back?  I never had to deal with the U.S. health care/insurance system as an adult - just Israel's.  I'm glad you liked the counselor. :) Hopefully it will help you to de-stress a bit.  TTC is really tough.

Right, Simone, you need to handle one thing at a time.  Hopefully the social worker can help you out this time, and you will find a way to manage Ty that is easier on the rest of you.  Good luck with your weight loss!  I hope you make your goal.

Christine - Hm, maybe that is a good idea!  So far, so good - guess all I can do now is wait and see.  Ugh, that's awful that you ran out and had to wait for the refill to be called in.  Good to see that it wasn't too bad a wait.  Hopefully the cramping is just another symptom.

AFM - Still getting negative OPK's, praying that they stay that way for the next week or so, and then I get a couple positives.  We finally are getting some snow - it was supposed to snow all day today, but it wasn't really sticking, at least not in most places.  NOW it is snowing for real, and sticking.  Hopefully we will wake up in the morning to a white Jerusalem, and then I can take DS out to play in the snow (and take pictures, which, of course, is most important).  Not much else, really.  Except that my neighbor borrowed four of our diapers, and forgot to give them back when she didn't need them anymore.  We are kind of low on diapers, and they're expensive, so hopefully we will get them back, since she's not using them...

Hello girls,

Nicole, glad to hear baby is doing good and hopefully you'll be up to par soon. Being dehydrated is such a horrible feeling, it messes with your whole body. Hopefully as you get closer to your 2nd trimester all the nausea will disappear. I can't remember did you have a lot of m/s with Aaron?

Christine, I'm sure everything is fine with baby. I've had some mild cramping the last few days. It does make you worry so much. I just try and take it easy as easy as I can being a sahm. Hopefully your m/s is coming to an end soon as well.

Amanda, I hate the whole medical billing system it's so confusing. But at least it was a big credit and not a big balance remaining.

Simone, I hope the weight loss goes well. I really wish I had lost more before getting pregnant. I'm trying to work out every day but I'm just now starting to feel better and get some energy back. I love the biggest loser if I wasn't pg I would be signing up for the program. It's such a great source of encouragement.

Terri, I hope the body is doing well after your fall. It seems the older we get the smallest falls can jar us. Stinks getting older. I watch kids take crazy hard falls and then bounce up not even fazed. i just sit there thinking that would have taken me out for weeks.

Sorry if I missed anyone. All the other post are on the previous page and my prego brain can not remember it all.

Afm: As of yesterday I'm in my second trimester. Starting to feel better, most days and slowly getting a little more energy back each day. My next appointment is next Tuesday. I see on other baby boards women at my stage are already finding out what they are having. Don't think I have an ultra sound next week but maybe I'll get to schedule my appointment. I'm still going to do the gender reveal party so I won't get to find out for a few days after but I'm excited. I'm ready to start planning. Got a little dent done in rearranging house to clear out baby's room. But everything got put on hold to potty train kale this week. Not a fun task. Monday was horrible he was freaking out and just acting traumatized. But he took a nap in the afternoon and then it started clicking and made it all through yesterday with out any accidents. Hopefully it continues to stick. Dh is home today so I get to go to work and get a break. It took a lot out of me the last 2 days my stomach muscles were cramping like crazy having to jump up and pick him up so much. I think that's all so talk to you later.

So my hubs and I are going to the beach with my parents in April. I will be like five months and need advice on what kind of swimsuit to get,  everything I look at is hideous!

Amber, Mine was passed on by my sister. It's kind of a tennis style dress. A little low in the front so I generally wear an old navy maternity black ribbed tank top over it. I'm going to a indoor swim park resort in washington at the end of next month And I'm hoping my standard one still fits so that way i'll have two. Since will be there for three days And I hate putting on a wet suit.

Hi ladies :)

It's been busy here, catching up from leftovers yesterday and all. I figured out the reason behind taking the Metamucil after calling the nurse to verify the dosage. Basically they want me to be able to "empty out" with that and Colace l because there is so much bad bacteria in my system still. The M works fast too, so as soon as I go I need to fill up on calories again. I'm just glad I can take the Zofran more often now, definitely need that to ward off the nausea and prevent dizziness. I was a little wobbly when I got in this morning. I'm trying one of those Special K shakes now for my lunch, it's strawberry and actually pretty good. We'll see how long I can keep it in ;)

Christine: I'm glad your ms is starting to calm down for you now :) How often do you take the Zofran? Oh that darn cold, I'm sorry you're still dealing with that :( I hope the cramping is just your uterus expanding and allowing the baby to grow, I've had that a little too. GL with the doctor on Mon, please keep us posted how it goes :)

Isra: Yah, it's not fun at all :( I am off the BRAT diet now and expanding to the high protein meals (shakes and bars etc.) They want me to flush my system out from the virus which IS slowly going away. DH and Aaron had homemade pizzas last night. I made myself one with only a pinch of cheese, less sauce and put chicken on top for the protein. Didn't stay down too long though. I know, being 12 weeks I'm really only 10, I still don't get those calculations. I am very worried to see the ER bill. And, I have to check into the coverage for the screening now, I'm sure it will all go to the deductible. But, at least I'll have it met by the time the baby comes right ;) Metamucil is a fiber powder you dissolve in water. Yes, I am so happy the baby is doing well :)  (despite how mommy feels) Good, keep those -OPK's going for just a few more days, THEN we can see the +'s ;) Oh I hope you DID get enough snow for a nice blanket to play in :) Diapers ARE so expensive :P Maybe you should remind your neighbor you need the one's they haven't used back.

Haley: Great to see you :) I'll be back to respond to your post...

Love and ((HUGS)) to you all ♥

Haley: Thanks hun ♥ :) I hope so too. I DID have nausea with Aaron, but after I ate something I felt better. With this one, it's all the time. Yes, you ARE in your 2nd trimester officially! 14 weeks YaY :) I'm glad you're feeling better as the days go on :) If you have an u/s at this point you WILL be able to know what you're having. But, most likely they will wait until your 18 weeks. That's how it was with Aaron. How was it with Kale? Did you have a gender reveal party for him? Potty training is really tough, especially with boys. I hope he continues to do well with it :) How was work yesterday? That's good your hubby was home so you could have your "break" from home ;)

Amber: Thanks again for the Special K suggestion :) I also have the bars, probably try one tomorrow. I like the cereals and they have a protein rich one, but I only like to eat them dry because milk soggies them up. I also had some chicken the last couple nights, haven't tried nuggets though yet. That's great you're going to the beach :) I had a maternity swimsuit that was two piece. The bottom could stretch to your belly or go under it, and the top was not fitted so there was room to expand and still be comfortable. I was 7 months along when I wore it though. Before that I was using tank tops and comfy swim shorts.

Isra- Yea it was pretty bad but not as worse as when I had mono in college. Hopefully you won't O for a few more days!! Hoping you can catch that eggie too!!

Haley- Yay for 2nd trimester!!! and good luck on the potty training. I've been trying to do that forever now lol. He knows he is suppose to go in the potty and not his pull up but he just picks and chooses when he wants too. I "found out" what Halle was when I went to the ER because I thought my water was leaking at 17 weeks but I didn't officially find out till 21 weeks at the dr.

Amber- I went to motherhood or target I can't remember and they had some bathing suits that weren't too bad.

Nicole- I really hope soon you can start keeping stuff down. I feel so bad for you but it's really making me think you're having a girl now!

Christine- I hope you cold goes away soon. It's really no fun being sick of any kind while pregnant.

AFM- Not much going on here. My mom had foot surgery tuesday and has to stay off of it for a few weeks so my parents are paying me to be her "nurse". Then after that my SIL will be going back to work in Feb and I will be babysitting my nephews Landon and Ethan. I love being able to stay home with my kids but sometimes I wish I could get out for a little bit.

Amanda- I probably put potty trying off for quite a bit because I wasn't ready. But it was time we did the 3 day method because I did not want to potty train for weeks. The first day was really bad, but by that night he had it and has not had any accident since. We went straight to underwear rather then pull-ups. I think he would have thought they were diapers. With the underwear he knew he didn't like that wet feeling. I love being a sahm but love that I get to go in one day a week for work, for a break its the perfect balance. I think I want to wait a few more weeks at least for them to start naming the gender, just to have a positive guess. My sister kept getting were 70% sure and then were 85% sure. That went on for several months.

Nicole- I found out about Kale being a boy at 19 weeks and we just found out from the technician. I saw the gender reveal idea after we knew. But I was still pregnant and knew if I was to have another that was the way I would do it. I ordered my pink and blue leis yesterday so everyone can wear their picks. I figure the few other decoration ideas I have I'll pick up in the next few weeks so its not to expensive. Trying not to go to crazy. I'll be excited next week when I get to schedule my u/s and then have a date for my gender party so I can make some more official plans. Work was good starting to get all of the end of the year papers together and all the next year tax stuff and fees not fun.

afm: Since Kale has been doing so well with potty training I'm trying to get some stuff done.  Since I don't have to be watching him constantly as long as I can hear him and be ready to run if he says he's got to go. I'm ready for him to be able to take himself. Tonight we have our first adventure out so it shall be interesting to see how he does. I'm really nervous. Trying to get motivated to go and walk on the treadmill for a bit and then going to try and quilt. That is if kale will let me.

Haley- I wish he would stop being so hard headed and just do what he knows he is suppose to do. I've only put underwear on him a few times but I might have to try it more often. I know what you mean about buying things here and there for parties. I'm already planning Chase and Halle's parties so I can start buying stuff now instead of all at once.

Amanda- yes all that little stuff adds up way to fast. And it's so hard not to go overboard. I'm sure your little guy will eventually get it as my mom always says you never meet an adult who's not potty trained. Just takes some a little longer. The problem were having today is if he doesn't go within 10 seconds he Says he's done, even if he didn't go. Then 2 minutes later he has to go again. We keep trying to tell him to give it a minute especially when he has to poop that he has to wait, hence why he pooped his pants earlier even though he was just on his potty. First accident. He's just not very patient. But I know he'll eventually get it.
