Hello ladies, Last night and today have been really rough on me emotionally and physically. I got some news from the genetic counselor late yesterday afternoon. My lab portion of the screening came back unfavorable, high risk for Trisomy 18 which is for those of you who don't know a serious chromosomal abnormality. They moved my u/s from next Fri to this one. I'm scheduled at noon to see the counselor first, have a more extensive version of the anatomy scan/fetal survey and then see the high risk (MFM) doctor. I'm really scared because they may have to do an amniocentesis. I spoke with the counselor again later this morning, she's been so helpful and supportive with all this. I just wanted to share this with all of you. There are so many questions and concerns popping into my head and it's been very difficult to concentrate on anything else. Please ladies, we need all the prayers and positive thoughts we can get right now. Thanks for listening. Love and ((HUGS)) to you all ♥

Nicole how very scary! I certainly will be praying that everything will be just fine! Some women's test come back with high risk and then the next testing done the baby doesn't have any thing wrong at all. I do not know from personal experience, but have said prayers for other ladies who have had children born with it and it always breaks my heart. If I were catholic I'd be heading to my church and lighting candles for you and your baby! Hugs and prayers!

Nicole - Sending big prayers to you and your family! I read that they may do an amino, is one of the newer blood tests materna T 21 test something that you can do instead? Since it is a blood test it would be less invasive. I know that early bw can have a high number of false positives, so I am hoping that is all it is for you. Sending big hugs and love your way!

Nicole- Oh, I'm sorry dear! Sending you huge hugs! It's been quite the rollercoaster for you... Hopefully with some extra surveillance this will all turn into being nothing and only some extra worry is all. As the screening go they aren't full proof by any means. Hang in there miss. I'm glad that they have counselors to help guide you through this process. How is DH handling this? I pray for you and your family that all will be fine and you will find some reassurance at your US on Friday. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts!

Nicole: Oh man :( Sending you many many hugs and prayers and thoughts to you and baby! I had an amniocentesis with Owen (although I was 37 weeks) so if you have any questions about the actual process let me know! I am praying that the markers were just off! Could they be effected by the fact that you were carrying twins early on? I know that sounds odd--but that was my 1st initial thought was that it had something to do with the whole twin situation from early on! I will be praying for you and baby--and everyone in your family!! :)

Simone - Is there any way you can move one of the twins to Len's room, and put Len in with the other? Aww, Len is so sweet. :) I am glad things are getting easier with Ty. I hope Chad doesn't get in trouble! You're right, my chart looked the same till CD15, now I'm starting to worry that it's not anymore, grr... Wow, that sounds really dangerous, the city needs to put down ice before anyone gets hurt... Yay for CH's! FX'd! LOL, you're talking as if you have a 20 week u/s soon! Hm, that's interesting about the winter babies..hope you get a sticky one this time! Tara, I'm glad you enjoyed your vacation! Darn AF, she just hasn't learned not to visit you, huh? Glad you're taking it okay, though. Right, talking to Dr. B. about a change of plans is the way to go. Good luck with your u/s! I hope you don't have to foot an exorbitant bill... Nicole, I'm glad Aaron was well-behaved on Friday. :) Hope you get to enjoy the rest of this pregnancy! I have no idea why you're still sick, maybe it is a girl. ;) Yes, healthy is all that matters. Oh, Nicole, we are all praying for you! ((HUGS)) Hopefully the bloodwork was just a fluke and your baby is fine! ((HUGS)) And, what everyone else said is right - these screenings are never 100% accurate and false positives happen all the time! Praying for you!

Amber, glad to hear that you're feeling better and are able to be up and about! Gina, what a nice present! Those 3D's are really cool! Christine - I am so glad that you are finally feeling better! Yay for feeling movement! That is cute how they kick so you can see a foot from the outside! Wondering if you're going to find out at the u/s despite yourself... AFM - So I joined a Hebrew-language religious forum (because I like to procrastinate working) and they don't want me there because I have a kid already and I'm not doing intensive treatments (thank G-d)...or because of something else, maybe my sn doesn't fit the bill...kind of upset because I thought that they would be a bit nicer, but whatever, at least I've got you guys! :) My temp isn't doing what I think it should be, but we will see, it's still too early to know... I think I need a massage, anyone want to give me one? And, I've been horribly procrastinating with my work, which is very bad news...

Isra- Sorry the forum you were trying to join didn't work out so well. It's not very nice when people aren't accepting of new people very well. Sounds like your DH has a massaged to give you tonight. It is Valentine's Day! Nicole- Big hugs to you again. Not much here to report. Happy Valentine's Day to you all!
