I am 32 years old and have an almost 8 year old and 4 1/2 year old. We are finally in a place financially to try for #3 and have been trying since July with NO luck. I have been tracking my cycles, figuring my fertile days, using ovulation predictors and nothing.
I have a regular period every month but am not wondering if there is a chance that I'm not ovulating. Has anyone else had this issue or have any advice for me? I have a dr's appt on the 25th for my yearly and plan to discuss this with my dr. I'm beyond frustrated because I got preggo the first month we tried for #1 and #2 :(

I'm no pro. But you are older, that could be an issue or your cycle (ovulation) days may differ. 4 years ago when I got pg with my son I ovulated late. This time I figured out I was ovulating on schedule with my cycle. Come on over to the February 2013 getting pregnant group. They are very supportive And know their stuff. Haley

I'm no exprt either, but if you are having a period, you are ovulating. If you think about it, there is a very same window each month for you to get pregnant. We went a year without getting pregnant and we were told to have sex everyother day. Following that advice, it didn't take long :) Your upcoming doctor visit is a great time to talk about your concerns. Hang in there! Tammy

Tammy, if you look at Fertility Friend, you will see many anovulatory cycles - not always does a period mean that you are ovulating. Your doctor probably assumed that you were ovulating, so he gave you advice accordingly. :)
