I just thought I would chime in on what I did. I peeked both times! I am such a planner and had to know ahead of time. :) However, I've often thought if I had a third, I might just let it be a suprise since I have one of each right now. :)

I'm planning on finding out. I do want it to still be special then just the tech blurting it out and then texting everyone afterward. So we're going to do a gender reveal party with close friends and family a few days after are u/s. Hoping to have a cake made. also going to order a bunch of pink and blue leis and have everyone wear their guess. I'm really excited for it and the few family members I have told are excited about it as well, To be able to see our reactions at the time we find out I think is pretty cool. Haley

Part of me wants to wait since we really have limited surprises in our life, but the other part, the more organized and, likemy husband says, anal part of me, needs to know. He definitely wants to know.

I am horrible at surprises! I cant even keep a christmas present a surprise! I def. want to find out and surprisingly so does my hubby! I do want to find a cute way to let everyone else know what we are having but since we live so far away from both of our families idk how we will do it!

To tell my parents, my husband took a picture of me and my mom and we are putting it in a frame that says three generations. It has a cute message about continuing love and guidance. to tell his mom, we bought her a Chamilia bead that says grandmother. We also bought my mom a shirt that says "This gal is going to be a grandma" and my dad a tshirt that says "This guy is going to be a grandpa". We do a secret santa at my aunt and uncles on Christmas eve and my husband and I got my mom and dad. We are going to have them open those gifts in front of the rest of my family. It is killing us to wait. I hope we can hold out!

Katie: those are really cute ways to tell. We ended up telling our families already. We couldn't think of a real creative way this time. We were going to wait to tell our Family for another week but my dad was wanting me to help paint and my sister was getting ready to color my hair. So I was running out of excuses and they were starting to wonder what was going on. Plus being my second my stomach has already started to pop. So we got a shirt that says "best big bro". And went to everyone's house and told them kale wanted to show them his new shirt. Haley

I did not find out with my son and it ended up being amazing. I loved all the guesses throughout the pregnancy and it made the last few weeks a bit more bearable. :) We plan on waiting again. I'm already excited!

Katie & Peanut, those are such cute ways to tell everyone the good news! We haven't told our families yet (I think we will this weekend - I can't keep it in much longer!). We'll be telling everyone over the phone, so I don't think we'll be able to do anything cute like that. As for finding out the gender - I sort of like the idea of it being a surprise, but I know I won't be able to wait. I just don't have that kind of patience. I'm planning on making some sort of cute cards that we can send out to let everyone know the gender though.
