Hi ladies! I thought it might be nice to start a thread where first time Moms can post their pregnancy questions for "veteran" Moms to answer. I know I had a ton of questions when I was pregnant with my first and some seemed too silly to ask my Doctor. So, I asked on here and always got great answers from other Moms! Feel free to post your questions for other Moms to answer!

My husband and I are looking at cribs and bedding. I had a friend whose child died of SIDS and I know there are different rules now about bumpers and blankets in cribs. What kinds of things should I have/not have when it comes to their crib?

Hi Katie, I am so sorry to hear about your friends child. Here is an article called "Safe-Sleep Guide for Baby" on Parents.com. www.parents.com/baby/safety/nursery/todd... If you read the 2nd page of the article it talks about the "less is more" theory for inside baby's crib. I used bumpers with my son 9 years ago but not with my daughter who was my 2nd child. I never used loose blankets. I made sure baby wasw in a swaddler or warm sleeper. I tried the sleep positioner with my kids but they just didn't take to it. Hope this helps!

It sounds like you are naturally a tiny person. Your dr will talk to you about weight gain and healthy eating. So don't worry.
