I want to begin with I know that this is not a way of diagnosing or treating any sort of problem. I am just curious lol.

My daughter is 27 months old and she occasionally develops these strange rashes on her torso, chest, and back. Yesterday, we went to church and they had a Dinner on the Ground for Homecoming, and my husband fixed her a plate of several different tastey treats ranging from chicken & dumplings to red velvet cake. In addition, she also played outside in the dirt for about 30 mins. Within an hour or so, she starts complaining about a bo bo on her belly and begins to strip down to her pull-up. I noticed that she was covered in a rash that was on her chest, sides, belly, and back. It was incredibly itchy so I gave her a warm oatmeal bath. The texture is kinda that of sandpaper and light pink. No fever; a little diarrhea. Today she still has the rash, but its not bothering her. No more diarrhea and still no fever.

My main question is how many other mothers have encountered this and if they knew a little about it. I've been trying to get her pediatrician to run allergy tests on her but he says theres no need since babies get rashes from time to time and that she only gets it every so often.

Side note, I thought at first it was just a heat rash, but when it showed up, she was only wearing a pull up and she wasn't hot or anything
