hey all!
Elijah was born on July 10, 2012 and ever since we've taken him home from the hospital he wakes up every night to cryyyy... It's been getting better but then there are still episodes of crying. He'll wake up at least a 3 times at night for feedings... every two-three hours. Does anyone else have that siutation?

My oldest cried A LOT! I think she was colicy. You could try mylicon drops. Delaney is still up a couple times a night, its still normal at this point.

Thats what babies do! They eat poop and cry :)

With my first born it took me a long time to get baby on a good sleep and eat schedule. She woke up three plus times a night for as long as I can remember. The best advice I got was to try and feed her more during the day and don't let her sleep for more than three hours at a time during the day. It seems that once I started feeding her more during the day, she wanted less at night and that eventually lead to better sleeping patterns and less crying or waking at night.

I hope that helps a little. Let us know how things wirk out.

I would definitely talk to your pediatrician about it because I have had two kids with reflux that both did exactly what you are describing. They would arch their backs and cry and one was on Zantac and the other is currently on Prevacid for reflux. The acid in the reflux wakes them up burning the esophagus and they want to eat to quiet the burning. Sometimes it helps them sleep longer and eat better to have the acid reduced. Just a thought to try! Hope this helps!

Deb is right, I should have said that myself. It is a good idea to take baby to the doctor just to make sure everything is ok.
