Is anybody going through this? My daughter has it REALLY bad! She won't sleep unless I'm in the bed with her & she will only tolerate other people for about 10 minutes before she is looking for me. The only other people she is comfortable with is her dad & her brother. Me & her dad are supposed to be going on a cruise in May, but I don't know how we will be able to go if she is still attached to me. On top of that, I am still breastfeeding & plan on weaning her around 9 months even though I will still pump milk. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?

all babies are different. My daughter was the same way. But ten minutes was pushing it, it was more like seconds. Good thing is she will grow out of it.. kinda (she is 6 now). At least you can leave her with her dad. My daughter wouldnt even go for that. She will survive when you go on your cruise. She will be ten times more clingy when you come home. but you will be relaxed and be happy to hold her anyways. Sorry not really helping there. just sympathy.

First off, your daughter is ADORABLE!!!
And Alivia is somewhat going through this. She's only like that tho with a new person AND I'm not within her view. But she's happy with me, her dad, my parents, and my little sister. And as long as she can see me she's ok with new people. Try leaving her with your parents (or whoever will watch her while you're on your trip) for a few hours here and there, maybe the more she's around them, the better she'll adapt? I don't know, sorry I'm not much help.

Thanks everyone!!! I'm just smiling looking at all of your children & how adorable they are! It's amazing how they grow so fast! I talked with my grandmother & she told me it's a gradual process. She said it's just going to require extreme patience on my part. It does get frustrating at times because sometimes I just want to shower or go use the bathroom, she may be sleep but as soon as I move from her she wakes up & is instantly upset I'm not there. I'm just trying to keep faith in the fact that this is a temporary situation, lol!!
