My name is Brie and I am 24 years young,and my first little daughter, Layla Rose, was born October 14, 2012. Looking just like her handsome daddy!
I have always been a dog mom to my 9 year old Golden Retriever, Kasey, whom sadly, passed away on December 24th, 2012 after a very short battle with a very aggressive cancer (that went undetected until it was too late), and almost 5 year old American Staffordshire Terrier Mix, Turk. I am also a step mom to a wonderful 14 year old son that I adore! My DH is 9 years older than me, but the most amazing man I have ever had the pleasure of saying is all mine! He is the perfect match for me. We also have a new puppy who is a month older than Layla. Shes a golden retriever also (love my goldens!) named Scarlett!
I am also a deans list/honors student at my local community college and a SAHM until Layla is a year old. I am excited about learning how to be a mom, learning how to figure out my lovely daughter (I have plenty of children experience..ages 3-12! So this is completely new!) and loving every minute of it!

I had the Mirena IUD placed on 11/26/2012 at 6 weeks 1 day postpartum, and so far, I love it! I do not want anymore children but DH does, so maybe in about 5 years from now, DH can convince me otherwise. Until then.. Layla will be our only child!
