I am currently 27 weeks and 3 days along with my first child. I just recently got off of antibiotics for a UTI. I called my consulting nurse a couple days ago, because I was experiencing one of the side effects on it, diarrhea, for 2 days. I was told to schedule an earlier appointment with my doctor, but I won't be able to do so until tomorrow the 25th. I've now had this symptom for 4 days, along with braxton's that lasted from 9 o'clock at night all the way to 7 in the morning. They didn't get any closer, stayed a consistent 20 minutes apart and were only about 30-40 sec long each time. They weren't painful, but very uncomfortable. Changing positions and drinking water didn't really help. The only somewhat "quick" fix I could find was soaking in the tub for an hour. Now I keep feeling what feels like very small braxton's every hour or so apart. They're somewhat uncomfortable and often accompanied by the lil' guy kicking and rolling around a lot. Should I be worried?

Hi Rebecca! My doctor has me on my second preterm watch right now. She'll be seeing me again next week, but all she said we can really due at the moment is just put me on a bland diet with more bed rest. So that's what I'll be doing until then. I'm really hoping this all passes by soon and my lil' man stays in for quite some more time. I'm still no where near ready for him to get here yet!

I absolutely agree whith you there! Hope he stays put! I had some Braxton's two days ago but they went away fairly quickly. I am so anxious to hold him and at the same time nowhere near ready to have him come early! When in May are you due?

I hope so too! This is my second premature watch within 2 months! This time wasn't as scary as the first one. With the first one I had to be admitted into the hospital because I had braxton's that caused me to fall over in pain. I know I really want him here, but I haven't even gotten his crib yet, so I really need him to stay in there for just a few more months. I'm due May 23rd.

Oh wow! I would say throw a baby shower for all that stuff. Remind people that you are happy to take gift cards so you can stock up on all the nessessary stuff. The crib I got with my first was from Target and worked great! We are using it for this new little one too. PS, baby swings are AWESOME! Let me know if you want to compair baby shower lists. I know know what is irreplaceable for a new one since this is my second. Oh and I am due on May 26th.

That's exactly why I can't wait for the next 3 weeks to pass by! I'll be having my baby shower on the 23rd of March. My mother-in-law just bought us a car seat and has offered to buy us the crib as well. So I'm hoping she can do so, as it would be greatly appreciated! I believe I'm getting a baby swing here soon too! Alrighty, I need to make a list of what I have and what I don't have pretty soon.

The safty first health care kit saves you from having to get all the little things you will need for temperature, and runny noses. I loved having all of it in a convienient package. The one they advertize now comes with a brush and other things mine doesn't have. Its funny, a diper changing station is convienient but not really nessessary. We changed my first son on a changing pad on the bed since it was the right hight. I am so excited for you! The first baby is always a big learning experiance.
