Hi I'm new to this group. When I first started my son on solids, he ate everything no problem. When he got to be about 7 months he stopped eating peas. I tried mixing them with fruits and the orange veggies that he does enjoy, but he won't take them. It wasn't so bad because atleast he was still eating green beans, but now he's refusing those too. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get him to eat his greens again?

Kids taste buds change all the time. Just keep offering the greens and one day he may decide he likes them again :)

Hi I'm new here, I saw this post. I have the same issues with my son, he will be 2 in April. When he first started eating solids he ate almost everything I put in front of him, including most veggies, now he won't hardly touch veggies that he used to eat with a passion! Have you found a "cure" yet? lol I just keep putting them on his plate, hoping he'll change his mind, occassionally he'll take a couple bites of veggies, but not many, most of the time he just turns his nose up at them. I'm a first time mom with absolutely no experience! Everything is trial and error with much sought after advice from friends at church, but it sure can be frustrating at times! lol

Oh come on, have faith :) I'm just saying, you learn a lot with each one and no matter what, something always comes up that makes you say "what should I do" I say seasoned because I always learn the hard way :) Tammy

I guess I am rather lucky for the most part our twins (2yrs old both girls) eat rather well when it comes to veggies. They LOVE green beans, broccoli (trees), and coin cut carrots the most. Does he like spaghetti?...you could use a blender and mix some green veggies into the sauce. I have done that befor to get them to eat some diffrent stuff they wont. Will he eat soups? you can do the same there as well.

One way to sneak in green veggies is to add finely chopped kale or spinach to pizza sauce then layer cheese on top (this works for other veggies such as bell pepper, mushroom, etc). They never know what's lurking below! Another trick is to add steamed kale or raw spinach to smoothies. I promise you cannot taste it. I like to use whatever frozen fruit I have on hand (strawberries, blueberries, bananas) plus apple juice and either kale or spinach. The frozen fruit acts as the ice so it's packed with flavor. I have an almost 2 year old and while she's a great eater, she's grown leary of anything "green," so I have to trick her from time to time. :) Good luck!
