i dont want to seem mean or anything but i do spank my son when needed...its the only way he actually listens to me and that doesnt even work sometimes.my son is very head strong and an only child at that.....

I spank my daughter. I believe there is a big difference between abuse and discipline! I don't do it hard enough to hurt her just enough to let her know im serious. Luckily I don't have to do it often cause she's a pretty good kiddo! =]

I am with you, spankings are completly different from abusing. My punkin, as cute as she can be, can also be very stubborn and requires a quick spank on the hiney every once in a while. Usually all I have to do is take her arm in my hand and turn her around, and she get's the message. Very few actual spankings have been needed.

I have to admit my son is a stubborn 16 month toddler when he was about 9 mth he started banging his head i was very concern then dr gave me some tips that seem to work then he just wont stop he hits so hard he bruises his head and he got spank 4 it and now it seems he understand he cant hit himself because he gets spank he only does this when he wants something and dont get it. I was worry he would end up in stiches. I feel so guilty and bad for this, but i feel i would feel worse if he would end up in er. Im so expecting this faze will pass.

I hate to say it but i do spank...my son who will be 2 in april were getting close to those terrible 2!!!
