Hope everyone had a great long weekend and July 4th. We were so busy this weekend, but it was a lot of fun. We went to see a van on Saturday, but unfortunately they wanted too much and wouldn't drop the price any at all. Then we came home and played outside for a bit, and Jackson had a nice long nap, we went out for a nice dinner. Sunday, we played outside a lot, even though it was SO hot, then went to my parents for a cookout and some games. Yesterday we went to the zoo with my mil, and came home and cooked out and did a few fireworks. Jackson actually enjoyed them this year, so I was surprised. Next year we might go to the festival where they do the big fireworks and have a parade. Congrats Pamela, and Linda too! I'm in the two week wait, so we'll see, but I am not getting my hopes up yet. I doubt we'll get pregnant in the first month of trying, though I might luck out. We shall see.

Congrats to all the pregnancies! I think i might end up being the only non-pregnant member. haha. Glad Jackson liked the fireworks! I was really nervous that Olivia would be scared of them, but she LOVED them! We didn't even have to encourage her, as soon as they started going off she was clapping and yelling "WOW!!!!" Soooooo cute! I tried to get a video but it mostly picked up every one else's voices and not hers. She was even reaching up to try to touch them, and then she held up her bunny so he could see too. Haha. We had a very busy weekend too. Friday my mom and I took the 3 girls shopping and out for lunch, which turned in to an entire day event. Saturday DH worked until 5, but when he got home we all got ready and met my mom, sister, and my 2 nieces at the fireworks. They had food, music, and games from 5:30 -10, and then the fireworks started at 10. We didn't get home until almost midnight but Olivia did SO good. I dont think she cried once the entire night. Actually, I take that back, she had a couple of 10 second meltdowns. It was cute though, because during the fireworks she sat on the blanket between my nieces (6 & 8) and watched the entire 30 minute fireworks show sitting there. Every now and then she would get up and jump and clap, but then she would sit back down. Such a big girl :-( Sunday DH worked so my mom came and picked up Olivia and me and we went to my parents house. My sister, nieces, Olivia, and myself all went outside and played on the swingset, slide, Olivia played in her baby pool, and my nieces played on their slip and slide. It was a really fun day! Yesterday my mom, sister, and nieces came and picked me up and we went out for lunch and ice cream, and then went shopping (Kohls cash!). It was a VERY busy weekend but really fun. Today DH and I took Olivia to the zoo. It was really nice and not busy at all. We rode the carousel and train, and went to the petting zoo. She had so much fun. It started to get really hot around 1 so we ended up leaving at about 1:30. We have annual passes though so we didn't feel like we HAD to see the whole zoo in one day. I bought Olivia a new baby pool too so I wanted to get home early enough for her to play in it. I'm SO frustrated with baby clothing sizes. Olivia has been wearing an 18-24 month size at Old Navy for a LONG time. I bought her a ton of new summer clothes, all 18-24 months, and they are ALL too big. I even bought some 2Ts. Ugh. Maybe they will still fit her next summer. AND I went to Kohls and bought her a bunch of summer clothes, bought Carters hoping they would fit her better, I bought 18 month (which is usually always too small on her), and they were WAY too big. Olivia has lost about 1 pound since she was 15 months, but I dont think that would make that big of a difference. I bought her a skirt from Old Navy, size 12-18 months (since she's so short 18-24m skirts usually look ridiculous on her) and it fits perfectly. On a good note, I did find her a pair of water shoes at WalMart. I have been looking all over and couldn't find any in a 4. These are a 5, but it's better than nothing. I got her a new hat too, because her white one turned orange from the sunscreen. Anyone else have this problem? It stained her bathing suit and some t-shirts too.

I'm glad Olivia and Jackson liked the fireworks! Ours sucked. I haven't been to any here before, so I wasn't sure which ones to go to. Well, I clearly picked the wrong ones. They were really far away and I didn't know how to get closer because I'd never been to that lake before. Sophie wasn't even paying attention and it was starting to rain so we left. I guess the ones over the capital are much nicer. We'll try those next year. Saturday Sophie refused a nap and fell asleep in the car while I was bringing dh to work. She slept from 5-7:30pm little stinker. I tried so hard to wake her up. She went to bed at 10. Then Sunday she didn't take a nap at all! And that's the day we went to the fireworks so she was up until 10:30 with no nap. Then on the 4th we went to a parade. I am shocked at how RUDE parents and other kids are! Parents yelling at their kids to grab the candy. Sophie would see a piece and another kid (or parent) would snatch it away. They were like animals. So we left before that was over too because we couldn't see anything. Then we went to a bbq at dh's friends' house. That was aweful too! I got hit in the head with a volley ball, dh caught a frisbee inches from smashing into my face, Sophie got a black eye. We left saying Sophie had to take a nap (she didn't nap though). It was NOT a good weekend! I bought myself a Nikon D3100 for my birthday! It was sooo expensive, but have been wanting a nice slr camera. Now we can take professional looking photos ourselves. Dh is pretty good with photoshop. It's been about 12 years since my photography class, so I need to brush up a little on aperture and f-stop and all that good stuff before my pictures will be any good. But I've always had a pretty good eye for framing a photo. I got a nice zoom lens too. I'm so excited to try it out after work today!

Megan - I hate how all of the different brands of clothes seem to be so different in sizes. Olivia wears all 18 months clothes, but she is already wearing some 2ts. None of her size 4 shoes fit anymore, so she will probaly need new sandals soon. My sisters daughter is only 2 and a half so she gives me all of her clothes when she is done with them. I barely have to spend any money on clothes, which is nice! Pamela - Sorry your weekend was bad! :( I read your post about having to wait until 10-12 weeks to get an appointment! Are you able to go anywhere else? I would think that they would atleast do the bloodwork. I had bloodwork done at 4 weeks and an US at 6 weeks! Amanda - Crossing my fingers that you get you BFP!! :) AFM - I had my glucose test today and my monthly visit. Baby is doing good and we scheduled my c-section!! I can't believe it is only in 97 days~about 14 weeks left. I am going to start on the nursery this week...I want to have it done by my baby shower. My sister is throwing a small shower for me on the 14th of next month, I didn't really want a second shower but my sister insisted. This weekend we were really busy too. We went to the parade, fair, a cookout and watched the fireworks. It was nice since they had fireworks so close to our house, we didn't have to leave the front yard. Olivia loved them!! :) Well hope everyone has a good week!

Gina, the OB clinic saw me at 9 weeks with Sophie. Half way through my pregnancy I switched to the midwife clinic. I know that's where I want to go again. I don't know why they see people so late. I'm going to call back tomorrow and see if I can talk to someone different. I am NOT waiting 12 weeks to start pre-natal care! At my first appt last time I had my firsty U/S. I don't know if they do that at the midwife clinic. But I know you can see the heartbeat at 8 or 9 weeks, so I'm going to push for that. Last time I was freaked out that they didn't want to do a bloodtest right away to confirm it, but now I'm not too worried. ELISAs (pts) are pretty accurate.

Cramping and some bleeding. Hoping nothing is wrong but I'm still pretty scared. I get my HcG levels tested tomorrow and then 48 hours after that to make sure everything is ok.

Is your bleeding red or brown? I had some brown spotting and cramping right around the time my period was supposed to come. Praying for you and your little baby!

Pamela, I hope everything's OK. I remember I had cramping on and off during the first trimester. I know that early on it felt like I was going to get AF anytime. I hope everything's OK, let us know as soon as you find out what's going on. I'm sorry your weekend sucked so much. I agree, parents can be SO rude. When we were at the zoo, they had a new tiger exhibit, and people were crammed in to see during one of the training times, where they got the tiger really close to the glass. I was holding Jackson and waiting my turn, but people just kept shoving in front of me and pushing me out of the way. I'm thinking "really?? Do you not see I'm holding a baby here?" Finally I got sick of it, and as politely as I could, made my way up to the glass so we could see too. Megan, that's sucks about all the clothing sizes. I completely understand, Jackson wears anything from a 24 month to a 3T, depending. The only thing he can still wear that's 18 months is a few Carter's pjs and if he was wearing some Carter's jeans, just because they are so big in the waist, but tend to be a little too short in the length. I think some stores should have baby dressing rooms, or the clothes should all have the length and weight on the tags. Gina, did you just have to do the 1 hour glucose or the 3 hour? I remember having to do both since my blood sugar was high normal, near borderline. I really hope the next go round I can get by with just the 1 hour. I'm starting to think showers for the second baby are becoming the new trend. I know a lot of people who have been having them. I can't even imagine what I would possibly need from a shower since we kept everything from Jack, so unless it is a girl, the only thing we'll have to buy are diapers. Our old house is like that for the fireworks. It's about a block or so away from a big park where they set off a really cool display the weekend before the 4th. We could go out to the backyard and watch, and were close enough we could still hear some of the boom. I was really surprised that Jackson liked the fireworks my dh set off, even though they were all pretty small, like the fountains and stuff, but the last couple were bigger and louder. I'm ready for everyone to be out of fireworks already though. We only set a few off on the 4th, but I hate how everyone around us has been setting them off for at least a week, and they will continue for another week or so. It's really obnoxious trying to get Jackson to sleep with all the shrill noises and booms. We've been using a sound machine as well as his normal loud fan, and that helps but my dogs are hating going outside!
