I know I am suppose to have baby talk on here but I needed to vent for a minute because my hubby is crazy. We live in Washington State so it's not very hot here but yesterday it was very sunny. Because of it being so nice we decided to go hang out at the pool in the afternoon. I asked if we should put sunscreen on because we both are fairly white. haha His reply "we dont need no stinkin sunscreen". So while we were there for a little over an hour we both completely turned into a lobster. My arms, legs and face are really sunburnt, his as well along with his chest. So this morning I have yet to let it go because I didn't sleep well and was wondering if I am over doing it. He feels bad but that doesn't change the fact that I am still sunburnt and look funny.

your skin is more sensitive when pregnant, so you should always wear sunscreen!  i have even had some friends told by their obs to wear spf 50 on their tummies!

Always wear sunscreen but especially when preggo, your skin is more sensitive. If he wants to burn let him, but definitely protect youself!

I have always tanned very easily and rarely burn. The first time I sat out in the sun about 2 months ago, it was only 75 degrees and late afternoon sun. I was out there about 45 min and got the worse sunburn of my life! I could not believe it! I make sure to use it everytime I go out now, but only use 15 spf, except my face which I use 30

I have always burned ... don't even know what a tan would look like on me!  I went to the beach the other day with my hubby wearing a tank top and a skirted bikini bottom.  Between my husband and myself, we missed random sploches all over my shoulders and neck and I forgot that the tank top was an bit too short so I have a little band of sunburn across the baby belly!  I've gotten sunburns all my life so they don't really bother me much anymore... but we do need to try to protect ourselves.  I know my family dr has already warned about my increased risk of skin cancer.... joy of joys.  Being preggo just makes me burn easier... if thats possible!!!!!

Oh the joys of the prego sunburn. My DH and I just got back from a week-long vacation in Jamaica, and are now enjoying the after effects...peeling. I thought my OB was exaggerating (SP?) when she told me that I would burn more easily being PG. Now I know she wasn't kidding! I wanted to get a little color on vacation, but I fried the first day...definitely overshooting my glow of a nice caribbean glow. LOL
