My son is a pretty good sleeper but he has this one problem. We put him down in his crib at night and then around 2 in the morning he will wake up and cry until I pick him up and bring him into our bed. I usually just do it because I am back at work already and I need the sleep so it is just easier this way but I don't want him to get too attached to our bed. Does anyone have any suggestions of how I can break him of this habit without me losing a lot of sleep too?

maybe put him in a playpen next to your bed and slowly keep moving it father away till he is in his own room?

Do you use a pacifier? That does the trick for us when my son wakes up in the middle of the night. We have set the guidelines that we don't get him out of the crib from 9-6 so if the pacifier doesn't work, we keep checking in on him and soothing him every 5 mins til he goes back to sleep. We haven't had to do this in a long time though because I think he figured out we weren't going to pick him up!

I was having problems getting my son Hayden to nap properly, he'd only sleep for about a half hour or so. The other day I put one of my worn t-shirts in his crib and he's been napping for at least an hr every time now! We use to bring him into bed with us in the morning too, but he was starting to have trouble sleeping all night so we had to quit that. Maybe one of yours or your husbands t-shirts from the day before will help. Good luck! Christine
