know what dinner and events you will be going to ahead of time make a time line (even if its the whole month) start the time line when you need to get kids up, breakfest, baths (make sure you also make a time to pick out outfits) do the whole day like this so then you will prepare your self for the day 2, nake lists so you don't forget anything see i only have to worry about one dinner so i can't imagine 2 or 3 dinners to go too im not an expert by far but this might help

I'm in declutter mode right now. It's so discouraging to haul out the decorations and still have to clean around everything so I'm doing the setup work of decluttering and putting things away now.

Last year we stayed home for Christmas. We pulled it off without much flack from the family since everyone knew we were exhausted from having a 6 month old and a 17 month old (and a 4 y/o). It was the best Christmas we've ever had as a family! The holidays in general have become much more manageable ever since I convinced myself that we don't have to make an appearance at every family gathering in a one hour radius of us (4 total).

I love your idea, sweetmommy2007! I usually apologize the whole time for my messy house, but I'm going to quit apologizing. Because - like you said - it's just going to become another huge mess anyway.
