What are you cooking for your baby?
2 years ago  ::  Dec 08, 2010 - 12:57AM #1

It has been forever since I have been on the boards or posted.  For some reason, I don't get alerted in my email like I do for other boards that I don't even go on.  Very strange.  However, I keep up with some of you via FB and that is nice too.  :)

Samantha has 3 teeth.  2 on the bottom and 1 on the top.  I am still so afraid about choking, so I just don't know what to feed her.  She is 100% done with baby food.  I am at a loss and getting bored with the same old things.  Last night, I did make her spinach and cheese tortellini and she devoured it!  Also, how big of pieces should we be giving them?

Thanks!

I still cut things up pretty small unless they're really soft and will easily come apart in her mouth, like pasta. We're still working on getting completely off baby food though. She hasn't been eating very much lately and the only thing that I can get her to eat consistently is baby food fruit. I think she has a couple of teeth coming in though so that might explain it!

Teryn is off baby food for a while. He eats ww toast or a ww waffle and some cheese or yogurt for breakfast. Some sort of meat/protein(chicken breast/turkey burger/veggie burger) and veggie for lunch and then a light dinner usally a fruit smoothie and bites of whatever Tim and I are eating. He drinks 4oz of V8 every morning as well and snack/grazes throughout the day on banana, cheese, toddler crackers and yogurt melts or whatever we are eating.  He goes through phases where he eats tons and then days or even up to a week where he really doesn't eat too much, but always drinks his milk.

 Dani has 3 on top and 3 on bottom. She eats everything we eat. she picks up her pizza and takes bites, she eats tacos in salad form...anything. The only things we don't give her is spicey stuff like chili. I made that mistake last week and i think it gave her heartburn. :-/ I was so worried about what to feed Danica when she was little too but she quickly showed me that she could do it all by herself so i let her eat whatever.

Michael has all his teeth coming in at once or at least thats the way it seems we went from 2 to 8 in a very short period of time!  But Michael eats everything we eat and has been for sometime.  The only baby food I give him these days is the baby yogurt but even that I've been buying regular ones more often now!  I cut it all up pretty small and he feeds himself.  The only thing I don't give him is fish sooo when I make fish he usually gets pasta and butter which he loves!!

Daisy would live on pizza if we let her, & I do actually give it to her regularly b/c we're always trying to push calories on her (still 17 pounds).  I also give her lots of eggnog, her favorite thing to drink now.  She likes to gnaw on crunchy veggies, like raw bell peppers & mushrooms, and loves mashed potatoes, mashed sweet potatoes, stuffing, basically anything with lots of butter.
