So my son has had excema since he was bout 3 months old. I just changed doctors and the new one immediatly had his blood drawn for an allergy test. So the test came back through the roof for milk, eggs, wheat, cats, dogs, peanuts and on and on. Ok so then we change to the new formula for milk and soy allergies and he tells me not to give him anything other then that till i see the allergist who i call tomorrow. but that could take a while. He said he hopes we see them before i bring him back for his 9 month check up. The issue is though that he has been on a diet of snacks, baby food, and formula. So now he's supposed to be back on a liquid diet and he is already fussy because he has his first tooth coming in and now this. He acts like its not filling him up enough and my husband said its cruel to take everything away like that. That we should ween him off the food becuase our DS doesnt understand whats going on. I dont know what do to. He just acts so much more hungry now and its only been 2 days. Any advice?

wow, that's a tough one. i would probably still feed him some food. obviously not soemthing on the list that you already know of. but he should still be able to have some things you know dont bother him, maybe vegetables or something.

we dont know the extent of what all he is allergic to.nothing so far has caused a serious reaction just the rash but the doc got me a epi-pen jr just incase. The issue isnt so much the food as his snacks. He loves all the different flavor crunchies and starts crying if it cant get to the container. My husband said we should give him those, not the chedder cheese flavor, but slowly wean him off of em cus who knows how long its gonna be before we see the allergiest apparently this is the busy tiime of year.

You should see if you can find some plain or rice snacks. My son likes Mum-mum rice snacks. They are a little sticky, but crunchy and safe. They should be "allergy free." Wow, it seems extreme to be allergic to so much. I really hope that he grows out of it. It makes is so hard on you too. I would think that the fruits and veggies should be ok, not berries though. Good luck

I don't have any advice unfortunately, but my daughter has also had really bad excema since about 3 or 4 months old too. I wondered if she had an allergy to my cat. It's cleared up quite a bit other than on her neck, under her chin. My pediatrician has me putting lotion on her 2-3 times a day. He said she probably got it from me, I guess it's hereditary.

if you go to an organic grocery store youll probably find in the cereal section, plain 1 ingredient puffs like corn, rice, wheat, quinoa, kamut (i hadnt heard of it but its just a plain grain, looks similar to the wheat puffs)

My daughter is 9 mo old and is allergic to cow milk protein. She was on a prescription formula from 8 weeks old until 6 mo old. She is now on nutramigen, still a special formula but not a prescription. She also has eczema. I tried to give her yogurt and her eczema completely flared up, so i stopped that. her doc said no dairy, eggs, fish, nuts until at least a year old and then she will be tested. It is really hard trying to figure out what to give her, but she does eat all fruits, veggies, chicken, turkey, lentils, mum mums, puffs, cheerios, graham crackers, rice/barley/oatmeal/spelt cereals.

Well everyone, forgive me but I completly forgot to post what the allergist said. Aspring, my son is on Nutrimigen as well. He is allergic to milk, eggs, nuts, and tree nuts. He is allowed to have soy and wheat. There are alot of foods he can eat, as long as I watch the labels. He really likes trix cereal and he is almost 10 months maybe you could try that too. He is getting tested again in October before he goes back to the doctor because the doc doesnt know if he can have wic give me soy milk or if the allergist wont want him to have any milk.
