Crying during bath time now
2 years ago  ::  Jul 20, 2011 - 8:29PM #1

I have no idea what's going on but my daughter is almost 9 months and the past few days freaks out and starts crying and trying to get out when I bath her. She never cries so hard. The water temp. is fine. She doesn't have a rash. She just started crawling. I don't know what it is. People tell me it's a phase. I tried bathing her earlier at night and during the day with the same results. I hope it's just a phase because it sucks

 I was getting in with her for a little while but she was totally fine when I didn't so I don't get it. It's weird since it is all of a sudden. I wish she would just love playing with her toys like she used to once upon a time.

Emma also went through that phase. It didn't last long and I'm not sure why she was crying. I started putting her in the regular bath. I get in with her so she doesn't fall, but she likes it much better than the infant bath tub. We were putting her in the kitchen sink for a while too, but she was starting to stand up and almost fell twice. It scared me... so my mom suggested putting her in the regular tub and sitting in there with her. She loves being able to crawl in the tub and play with her toys. When she stands up I don't worry as much because the sides of the tub are much higher than the infant tub or kitchen sink.
