Just curious when everyone is changing car seat...only because they were trying to change the law to make it 2 years old till the flip...not sure whatever happened to that talk.

I plan on switching to a convertible car seat when she turns 1. I've been doing a lot of research to try and find the absolute safest car seat out there. I also heard the new suggestion to keep them rear facing until they're 2. I don't plan on doing that unless it becomes a law. The longer they "have" to be rear facing the longer their legs are going to get and the more scrunched up and uncomfortable they'll be!

I just got Hartley her new carseat, she is still facing the back seat because she is 11 months, but we also have to wait longer than a month to face her forward, she is only 16 pounds. But we got her the Graco my ride 65. Target had it on sale for 100 dollars. It was 160. we love it and she looks so comfy!!

Audrey got her brother's Evenflo Triumph and we moved him up to a booster seat.  It is definately not my favorite, but we were spoiled with a chicco infant seat.  It does the job and she seems comfortable, it just isn't as easy to install or use for us grown-ups.  If I could do it again, I'd go with Britax.

We switched Wyatt around when he hit a year. Barely 20 lbs! But he was so long in his infant car seat that he was kicking the seat in front of him and his head was sticking up higher then I thought was safest.  We got the Graco Nautilus, after doing lots of research and looking at what would work best for us. He loves it and so do we! Love that it grows with him and it is so spacious but isn't super bulky. Plus, I love the kid storage in the armrests!

I'm not sure when to turn the seat around either. I have Dakota in a convertable car seat and he's still facing the back and he turned 1 on oct 5 . I'm in no hurry to turn it around if its safer.

I switched my daughter last month when she was 9 months to the Britax Marathon 70.  It was a little too expensive in my opinion, however so far she loves it. she seems really happy and comfortable, hence that makes us love it.  At 10 months she's already 22lbs but I will probably also keep her rear facing for as long as she fits..
