Hi Mindy, I bet being a mom of two has kept you busy with not much time to be around here:) Congratulations on baby #2. My name is Tammy, I have three children ages 3,7 and 9. Actually they are 2, 6 and 8 and they all have birthdays over the next 4 weeks :) I hope you have a little more time to join in conversations and share all the joys of being a mommy. Tammy

Hi Mindy, We seem to switch it up every year. Last year my youngest turned 2 so we just did cake with the family. Then we did one big party for the two older kids. This year we are having a party for the three year old and the two older kids are in charge of the games we have planned. It's going to be a great party! Then we will do two more parties because its not often that they get to pick exactly what they would like to do so I just try and make it super special for them. Two years ago we did one big party out of town at their grandma's house because thats what they wanted. I just try to roll with it because it's once a year. It's fun for their dad and I to see them glow when they feel special like that. I should add that we get very creative and make our own games and even give our own gift certificates for game prizes. This year we made a gift certificate that reads "Good for one ice cream sunday at the birthday girls house on Valentine's day" It doesn't have to mean we spend a ton of money. It's fun every year! Tammy

I love the gift certifcate idea. Thats a very clever idea. I love planning birthday parties. I'm such a huge procrastinator I have to start 6 months ahead of time or I will lose track of time and I won't be able to get anything done. lol

aww congrats!!! 2 kids are a handfull! lol, you will be kept on your toes for sure. I was surprised that i was able to breastfeed my second, but Hartley is an awesome big sister and she's a mild child, so she is very helpful. Is Emma excited to have a baby sister??

I think she is...as much as she understands it right now. It may be a different story when her sister is born. I watch two other children in my home, a 4 & 6 yr old, both girls...so I'm used to being very busy. I'm nervous I'll be overwhelmed with my 2 yr old, newborn and the 2 girls I watch once she's here though :/

Yeah I would say you would. I dont think I could watch 2 more kids lol. I hope everything works out for you. Once there is a schedule set for the newborn you should be fine. Good luck!
