I haven't thrown up a lot with this pregnancy. I am 8wks along and the last few days I have been having problems really keeping things down. The last two times I threw up when I tried to take tums for heartburt I threw up and since last night I can't seem to keep it down anymore. I've been trying to drink fluids. My step mother thinks its the flu. I think its a bad case of morning sickness. What do you ladies think?

I could be wrong, but it sounds like morning sickness if you ask me. You would likely have body aches with the flu and or a fever.

With morning sickness your belly just doesn't feel right, nothing sounds good to eat and the smell of something might send you running for the bathroom :)

I should add that onset for morning sickness os around 8 weeks, give or take a week. Don't worry though, your body is designed to make sure that baby is getting what he/she needs through these queazy times.

Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks Tammy,

I went to the ER and they thought it might have been the flu at first. They gave me two bags of IV fluid and started me on zofran. The doctor also said that it was right around the time that morning sickness hits a lot of women. You are right nothing seems to sound good to me these days but the zofran keeps me from throwing up all day. Now its back to once or twice a day. But I still feel queasy all day long just not as bad.
