Hi Holly!
I haven't planned my baby shower yet, but I've been to a few different ones for family. I went to one a couple weeks ago where we played a clothes pin game. At the beginning of the baby shower, everyone was given one clothes pin to clip somewhere on their clothes, and then we were told a list of words we were no longer allowed to say during the party. If we said any of these forbidden words (such as "baby", "aww", "cute", "mom", "dad", etc.), anyone who caught us saying one of these words could take our clothes pin and keep it. Once you've lost your clothes pin, you can still participate and take someone else's pin, but it doesn't matter at that point if you say the words. Whoever has the most clothes pins at the end wins!
I've also seen milk chugging contests, swaddling contests (using a stuffed animal and a blanket, find out who can swaddle the fastest), and one I really liked in particular was when everyone got a solid colored bib and Sharpies to decorate a bib for the new baby.
Hope you have a great party! :)

My sister bought onsies and t-shirt paint and everyone made a onsies for mom to take home. There are games but the onsie project was enough to keep everyone busy. There is also a game where you try to guess how big the moms belly is. You can do this with yarn or toilet paper and who ever cuts the closest length to the size of moms belly without going over wins:) Tammy

I'm not big on shower games. But we've done the bingo game. A few times it's a lot of fun and it gives your guest something to do while mommy opens the gifts. Give all the guest a blank bingo card except the middle bingo bonus spot. Then tell them to fill in the spots as to what they think the gifts will be. They have to be specific. Ex: Pink dress, Brown pants, green blanket, bottles, pacifier, Diapers, etc. Then as the gifts are opened they fill in their spots. Once someone gets 3,4 or 5 in a row depending on how big a bingo card you want (the more people you have, the bigger card you want). Then card is checked that person gets a prize if its truly a winner. You can keep going until you run out of presents or winner prizes. Like I said its nice for something to do for guest while presents are being opened and it also makes the gift opening process a little more exciting. Haley

I just went to a shower recently and this was the funest game:
The hostess had about six diapers into which she had placed a bite/snack size chocolate bar in each one then she microwaved them for about 30-45 seconds each to melt the bars. Then we passed the diapers around and we had to guess what kind of candy bar was in each one. It was hilarious!! Don't forget to number the diapers and have an answer sheet :)

At one of my baby showers they had faux cinnamon rolls made of felt and decorated with paint and sprinkles on top. There were about 2 dozen of them under a glass cake plate. They looked so cute! Anyway, what you did was ask everyone to get one and when it was time, you unroll it and a few of them had a surprise inside. It was cute and my daughter now plays with a few of them that didn't get unrolled as pretend food! There are also some great ideas in the article "14 Fun & Festive Baby Shower Games" www.parents.com/baby/shower/games/fun-ba...
