Hi. I'm currently nursing my 16 month old son and found out i'm pregnant and due @ may 16 2012. I'm trying to find mothers that have either success or failure stories with this topic. I would love to hear from both sides. The research that I have come across is very conflicting as well as my doctors opinions. One says to wean immediately because it will take nutrients from the fetus. The other says it's fine as long as I'm cleared for having sex with my husband..(I guess both cause the same kind of uterin contractions) They said it will take a toll on me physically with being more tired and having to make sure I eat enough calories. Which is totally true with me.

I don't want to have to force my son to wean! I love our quiet time together and will definately miss it when #2 comes along.(There is no way that I am even going to consider tandem nursing!)but that is a whole other discussion in itself.

I really hope to hear from you ladies out there. I'm very conflicted. Thanks Bunches
