As most “one screener” apps, Toddler Smudge is very simplistic but focused. It is basically a nice way for your child to smudge colors with his fingers without getting his fingers dirty.There is no sound matched with smudging action which is a downer, however, it does not set back the general user experience in a major way. This android apps supports partial child lock which means that clicking on the back button will change the colors but will not exit. However, clicking on the exit button will exit the app.

What happened when the kids used it? The kids smudged some colors and were happy to make a “mess” without a grownup chastising them. The touch sensitivity was good enough for the kids to manage to use the app without pounding on the glass. However, their interest level was only medium and after a short session they had enough “smudging” for the day.

For conclusion, Toddler Smudge for Android is a nice way to make a mess without getting dirty. On the downside, the graphics are very simplistic and it’s not the most addictive app out there.
