Ok, after wrestling this weekend my son found a lump in his groin area while in the shower. It is not painful at all. He went to bed it was gone after wrestling practice it came back. Next morning gone..the Dr said its a reducible hernia(goes in and out). It will need to repaired but not right away. He said Lou can finish the rest of wrestling season before we have it fixed. I'm still kind of worried about letting I go but my son WILL NOT stop wrestling 2 tournaments away from the State Championship. What would you do?

I would get a second opinion and make sure you ask questions. Can wrestling make it worse? What are the dangers of waiting to have it repaired? Will it go away on it's own?

Don't panic, just get some more information on it:)

Hope that helps,

Tammy

I agree with Tammy.  I would get a second opinion until you are confident of the answer.

Thanks. I was told it could get bigger which would mean having surgery sooner. It will not go away on its own. No matter what it's going to have to be repaired at some point. The bigger it gets the more pain it could possibly cause. As of now no pain so we are gonna take it a day at a time.
