Baby Eczema...Milk Allergy?

My daughter will be 7 weeks in a couple days and starting a few days ago she started getting this bad rash on her face.  It has since gotten really bad. It covers her forehead, cheeks, around her eyes, and up to her ears and neck.  It is a red, very dry rash with lots of tiny red bumps.  The Dr. said it is eczema.  Has anyone else experienced this with their baby before?  She has been so fussy lately and hasn't been eating as good.  Her tummy also seems upset and she is spitting up more.  I am wondering if it is an allergy to cow milk.  I suggested this to her Dr. but she doesn't want to entertain that idea yet.  She wants me to give it a few weeks to see if the rash spreads, etc.  I feel so bad because my daughter is miserable.  Her face is so red, and chapped and it looks so painful.  I am thinking of just going out and switching her to soy formula to see if it makes a difference.  I know a lot of babies if they are allergic to cow milk they are allergic to soy too, but I figure it's worth a shot. What does everyone else think???

Try a wash cloth with baking soda and warm or luke warm water on it.   the luke warm water and baking soda helps with a rash maybe on her face this will help as well.

My son just turned 7 weeks, and he has what looks like a rash all over his face. His face was so smooth when he was born then all of the sudden red, dry bumps all over. They were really red when he first got them, but it's been about a week and they seem to be going away. I'm thinking his is a form of baby acne? I just try to keep his face/neck clean, and it seems to help.

He was really gassy and fussy too. We don't have a lot of options for formula where I live, but I was using similac and now I am using Enfamil Gentlease. It is milk based though. If you think it's a milk allergy then I guess it wouldn't help. A few weeks ago, he was eating 4-5 oz every 2-4 hours, but recently he started eating less too. Maybe 3-4 oz. It may just be an age thing.

my daughter is 61/2weeks old and she had the redish bumps on her face my doctor said it was baby ache and melanoma... so she said to just wipe it clean with wash cloth every day and dont put any lotion or babyoil on it and it will clear up on its own...that was a week ago and her face has cleared up,.. as for the formula concern i would try anything if it was my child.,, i have a digestive problem and i know how uncomfortable it can be so it wouldnt hurt to switch.. or maybe look at getting a second opion from anouther doctor.. i dont think its right that they dont wanna look into it yet,, that is crazy if they arent eating normal they arent goin to be healthy..

My son is 8 1/2wks and had a really bad rash all over his face, ears, neck. Where ever the rash was, it was really rough to the touch and peeling.  This started when he was 4wks old. His ped said that he has eczema and prescribed hydrocotizon cream. I've been putting the cream on the areas that are broken out and I have seen an improvment in his skin.
