My son has eczeme pretty bad on his cheeks and after eliminating a milk allergy the doctor has told me to just keep applying the lotion, and wait it out. He thinks that it may be due to the cold weather. Any other little ones out there in the same boat?

My baby girls cheeks get pretty pink when they get dry! I use Eucerine Calming Creme, it goes on easy and I only needs less than a pea size squirt for both cheeks. It seems to work really well, but she hasn't been diagnosed with eczema, I hear that can sometimes be hard to soothe. Hope it passes soon!

I could write a book about baby eczema.  Our older son had eczema so bad on his entire body.   He's would scrub his face raw at night.  Here's what worked for us...bath only when needed (about every 3 days), cetaphil for baths (this is soap free so it doesn't lather well but cleans just fine), Free and Clear Tide for laundry, and finally MASSIVE amount of cream.  The cream that I found works the best is called Baby Eczema Cream and it's made my Gentle Naturals.  There's a picture of Pooh on the front.  It's hard to find in stores but drugstore.com sells it.  Even if the rash clears up continue putting the cream on at night.  When our son's got REALLY bad our pedi told us we could just a very small amount of cortaid on it but we didn't do it that often because he was so young.  Kids with eczema are also more prone to allergies so be careful when you introduce need foods.  Our son would break out horribly when he ate strawberries and whole wheat products.  He's now 2 and he no longer has an issue with foods thankfully.  He does still have eczmea issues in the winter but they are much milder now.  I wish you luck.  Our younger son seems to be having some issues too but since I knew how to deal with it his cleared up rather quickly.

Oh, does he have cradle cap?  The flakes that come off his scalp can also cause problems on his face.  Our pedi gave us a cream to clear up the cradle cap and that helped also.

My 3rd had eczema very bad, but it was usually around her elbows and knees.  It was worst in the winter, but she also sometimes broke out with it when it was extremely hot.  And she had cradle cap, too.  She was my only one to have all those issues.  My pediatrician told me I could use some of my steroid cream on her.  I also get it when it's extremely dry, but usually on one elbow and the backs of my arms/shoulders.  I only used small amounts and only when she was broken out.  She did outgrow it, thankfully.  She's 10 now, and I can't even remember the last time I had to give her anything for it.  Good luck!!

Emerson has some on his arms and legs, and it got kind of bad and our doctor said just soak him in the tub for about 10-15 minutes every day or every other day than apply Vanacream right away after his bath so that it will lock in the moister the water puts into his skin. He had a cream to use for a week and that really helped but It was a prescription, and so we still put vanacream on him twice a day and he now has a bath about every 3 days. I didnt give him a bath very often to begin with but the dr said his skin just dries out faster so I needed to rehydrate his skin and then lock in the moister. Good luck!
