How many naps are your kiddos taking now? Anyone gone to just one nap? We're working on transitioning to one, I'm fighting that hard. Most days T goes down around 10 and 2 and sleeps for an hour. Some days though he doesn't go down until 4 which is sooo late. Then bedtime is late and he's cranky. Not fun.

My LO resists naps. She doesn't have a set time. She will usually finally concede sometime in the late afternoon, and occasionally she'll take an evening nap as well. She has a different schedule though, since she is a night owl. She often doesn't settle in for the night until after midnight. And she doesn't usually wake up for the day until after ten am. This puts her naps later in the day than most kids.
Transition can be exhausting and if your baby is a good napper, so hard to let go of that peace and quiet!

It depends on where she is, but she went down to 1 nap several months ago. At day care, she's in the toddler room now, and they only let them sleep for 2 hours, which can make for a crabby kid in the evening. When we're at home, we try to keep her up until just after lunch. Then she'll sleep for 3-4 hours. Like I said, this has been her schedule for a while.

My youngest just turned three and she is done with naps unless she has a super busy and stimulating day. I made the mistake of letting her nap at 3 last week and she woke up at 2 am wanting to party:) Tammy

Ry is still taking 2 naps most days depending on where we are and what we are doing. He takes an after noon nap and then we let him take another nap before bed as long as he goes down no later that 7..his bedtime is 830..so when he takes his night nap he gets up and eats and then plays for a minute then is back in bed. He has always been a great sleeper. Thank goodness. Although he goes down at 830 that doesnt mean he is actually sleeping..some nights i will hear him in there talking away until 930 10oclock..but he isnt in there screaming his head off..he knows its night night time. I feel very blessed to have a child that likes his quiet time. He is hell on wheels if he misses that afternoon nap though! OMG! i have made a vow not to leave the house if it is going to make him miss his mid day nap. He becomes so exhausted that he doesnt know what he wants and then the tantrums start..he wants held then he wants down just to be picked right back up..or he wants his milk but then he throws it and is sooo mad when its across the room and he will look at you and scream like you are the one that took it and threw it..so that gets a bit frustrating..just easier to be somewhere he can have he nap than to deal with that mess.
