When do normal pregnancy symptoms start?

I'm about 8 weeks with my first pregnancy, and I feel like I'm not really experiencing all the normal symptoms. I go to bed a little earlier than normal, and I had a day a week or so ago where eating chocolate made me feel sick, but other than that, I haven't really felt the extreme tiredness or sickness that other pregnant women talk about. Is this normal? Or am I just not far enough along yet?

Everyone is different and every pregnancy is different that is what I have been told. What is normal for you might not be normal for someone else.

Right around 4wks before I even peed on a test I was tired, felt sick to my stomach and didn't want to eat much.

When I peed on a stick at 4 wks 6 days pregnant I started to feel a little more had to pee more often.

By 6wks I was throwing up at any time of the day but usually in the morning when I brushed my teeth. Thats when the heartburn really started, the bloating and constipation and I noticed I peed a lot more my bbs were sore.

By 8wks I was throwing up all day and had to go to the ER to get zofran and fluids.

I am 12 wks and now on 8mgs of zofran and wearing seabands to deal with the morning sickness. Now I pee a little when I sneeze.  Been doing kegels hoping that it will help that go away.

If you aren't really experiencing any don't worry it might be normal for you to have the lack of smyptoms or you might start feeling them shortly. The ER doctor told me its around 8wks when most of them really start. I've read books that say 6wks. Remember each pregnancy is different.

Good luck and welcome to the board.

Every pregnancy is different.  With my son I had ALL of the symptoms very early on...tender breasts, frequent urination, exhaustion, all day sickness, food aversions, etc.  With my daughter, I felt great!  I kept telling people that I didn't even feel pregnant.  It was a much easier pregnancy than with my son.  I don't remember when I first really felt pregnant with her but I would say I was in my second trimester.  I wouldn't worry...you will probably start feeling more symptoms soon :)
