Hi. I'm Stephani and I'm 17 years old. I'm due with my daughter early in October. I've decided on an open adoption for my daughter. A very close family friend who's known my parents since before I was born will be adopting her. Ellen, the adoptive mother, has been like an aunt to my my entire life, and she and her husband, Chris, allowed me to name her. I'm naming her Bryanna, after her father, Bryan. Bryan & I don't get along too well right now, but he does support my desicion and did thank me for choosing to name her after him. I have been pregnant once before, again with Bryan, but last time I had an abortion. Bryan is completely against abortions, and I never told him about it until after I told him I was pregnant this time around. So that's why he's mad at me right now.. Anyway, I'm here to get advice and support (:

Hi Stephani, Thanks so much for sharing this. Sounds like you have had some tough life choices to make. I am happy that you have found a couple to adopt the baby. What a gift that is! Stay strong, take good care of yourself and please talk to your doctor about birth control. There are so many options available these days. It could prevent you from having to make yet another tough choice down the road. I'm always around if you want to talk more :) Tammy

I, too am new to this! I am 19 years old and have a 2 year old daughter, so I was at one point in your same position. I chose to keep my daughter and often wonder what it would have been like had taken the route you chose. I give you a lot of credit, you are doing a wonderful thing for multiple parties! Being a young parent really ages you fast!
