I had to rush to the E.R on Monday Oct. 12 because of heavy bleeding. I was told that I had a semi-chironic hemorage! I am still not REAL clear what that means exactly. So my doc put me on bed rest but never had me come into her office. A week later, I was still bleeding brown, I went to another ultrasound they said that the hemorage was getting smaller however, now there was a new 1 towards the bottom!! Does anyone out there know anything about this???When I "google" it,  it brings up MULTIPLE sites for miscarriages and how to deal with them?? Am I going to lose my baby?? I am currently 10 weeks along and the baby seems healthy. Its growing and has a good heartbeat!! Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated

((( Hugs ))) Hello and welcome. What a scary thing to be going through right now. Try not to worry too much - the last thing you need is more stress. I'd say you don't want to rely too much on information you're finding on the internet . There's a lot of inaccurate information out there and not everyone's situation you'll read about is your situation. Know what I mean?

The best advice I can give you is to call your doctor and get some straight answers from her. Write down all your questions so you don't forget any. If she can't answer your questions or if you're not happy with the way she's handling this, then you need to find another doctor.

Hi!  I bled through my entire 1st trimester with my 1st kid.  It started around 7 weeks and did not stop til I hit 4 months.  My OB called it a hemotoma, which I learned is just a fancy word for a pocket of blood that they don't know the cause of.  My doc suggested it was possibly a twin that didn't make it during those first weeks.  Try not to worry too much.  My baby was perfectly healthy the whole time.  If the bleeding was due to a miscarriage you would have already miscarried.  Do take it easy though because you want to minimize any cramping you may be having.  Cramping is what expels things from your uterus.

A friend of mine had subchorionic hematoma and now has a beautiful, healthy 7 month old baby.  She said to follow doctor's recommendations to take it easy, no lifting, no sex, etc. very seriously.
